Blake Griffin vs the Thunder

Jeff Green's so bad that the Celtics wanted him.

Did someone really bash Jeff Green in this thread? I agree that trading Green for a true big man/post is not a bad idea, but whoever gets Green next will be very lucky. He's a heck of a player in his own right and is overshadowed by Durant and Russell. His three pointers haven't been going in consistently this season...but some nights he looks like one of the best players on the court.

so yea....

Disagree.

Let me be clear on this: Green is not as good as most folks believe he is. Being covered in the Thunder glow has lifted his reputation above where it should be. This is a 6-foot-9 power forward whose Player Efficiency Rating has never reached league average, who grabs a lower percentage of defensive rebounds than Pierce, and whose presence on the court has consistently turned the Thunder into a porous defensive team. When he’s on the bench, the Thunder are pretty stingy. When he’s on the floor, they’re the Raptors. Almost none of the Thunder’s best lineups feature Green. That trend has something to do with the other starters, but it has repeated itself in each of Green’s four seasons in the league.

You won't see Thunder fan giving it up to LeBron or Kobe if they are in and we are a competitive team. So why give it up to Blake?

Ummm, because he's an OKC product, played at OU, supports Oklahoma, has brought pride to our state as being the Big 12 player of the year, top pick in the draft, slam dunk champ, and no probably the NBA rookie of the year?

Last time I checked Kobe and Lebron had no ties to Oklahoma whatsoever?
