Nice 10 and 10 for the record typo from Soonersports.

so cade led us in points and rebounds.

but wait i thought we were a better team without him

For those who were there.....Was it anywhere close to the 9200 attendence??

Actual attendance is generally "Estimated"--the 5996 amount in this case.

Correct...and it looked like close to 6k. Easily the best crowd I've seen at the LNC this season, although I missed the aTm game.

It was a much better crowd than I thought it would be.

best crowd other than that tamu game ...

and i am still suprised that we have 9k tickets sold ...

so 3k people with tickets don't show up ..

If OU could learn to defend Tech wouldn't even be close. The Sooners gave up too many offensive rebounds and let them shoot way too high a percentage from 3 point range. A few of the guys also had too many turnovers for OU. Other than that it was a good game. I truly believe these are areas that OU can and will improve even if the talent isn't upgraded substantailly. Blair is simply going to be a much better player next season. I also think Clark will be substantially improved. I like to believe Pledger and Fitzgerald will have noticeable improvement. I am concerned they are both a bit slow but I think they can compensate for that by playing smart.

One of the best things is OU did not give up when they were down early. It would have been easy for them to not play hard after a slow start. They deserve credit for grinding it out, building a lead and then controlling the game.

good post. I am hopeful that we will be 500 in conference next season

The Sooners would have won by 20-plus had they shot a decent percentage from 3-point range. Six made treys in 19 attempts – especially at home where the Sooners normally shoot much better – won't get very many wins. On the other hand, it's a testament to the team's effort and grit that they were able to gut out a win on a night when their shots weren't falling.

It was good to see the Sooners hit some 3-pointers late in the game when TT was trying to make a run. But the lead would have never been reduced to single digits in the first place had OU shot well throughout the game.

And contrary to what was stated by another poster, I thought OU played pretty well defensively, except for a few lapses. I especially liked the way Cade dogged Singletary and made him work for every basket. It's obvious that we continue to allow our opponents to get too many offensive rebounds, but that's probably to be expected when your tallest player is not over 6-6 or maybe 6-7.

It's nice to win, but it'd also be nice to score into the 70's more often. This will be difficult to do so when the bench only contributes 2 points the entire game, which came from free throws by Neal in the last minute of the game. I know that no one logged serious minutes from the bench, but you'd still think that they could have helped out a little more last night on the offensive end.

Due to the lack of scoring from the bench, it is cool to see all of the starting five score double digits last night.
