Bryce Thompson timeline?

Man, I wish OU would hire a coach who had an infectious recruiting style, like Boynton seems to have. Even though they have not been good recently, OSU still has good players. You take Lon's game prep with Boynton's recruiting, you'd have something.

I just hope OU doesn't lose out on Thompson, because they have put ALL their eggs in that basket. They miss on him, and OU has nowhere to turn. Meanwhile, OSU is killing it on the trail this year.

Huh?

Just landed a 5 star pg.
just landed 3 other 4 stars.

Just landed a top 25 recruiting class.

Did so but not hiring a brother.

Ou was only taking 1-2 guys this class anyway.

Ou in on 3-4 top 40 players for 2021

Relax.

If Bryce doesn’t come here.... we’ll still be really good next year.

They will also land top 50 Thor kid now. He was package with Cunningham.

They did, don't you remember JC? Your opinion has convinced me Lon is the better choice. Good job!

Mazel tov. I mean, this post is so ridiculous that one can only assume it's sarcasm.

Consider the source. Cjhsooner is a troll. Oh, he throws in a backhanded positive sometimes in a veiled attempt to hide his true identity. He doesn’t fool me one bit, and I doubt if he fools you either.

Who is OU's backup plan for 2020 if Bryce chooses KU?

After watching the KU game, they definitely need shooters.

What happened to Dayten Holman? Thought he had a lot of potential and then he just fell off the map. I know he's in AZ now.

If I were OU, I'd offer Zaire Wade if Bryce picks KU. I think the kid can play and it doesn't hurt that Dwyane is his dad - publicity.

No backup. Focus on 21 unless someone falls in your lap.

Kind of been the plan all along. Huge class in 2019.

I heard Al say during total dumbinance hour yesterday that Alonzo Trier had told Bryce to go to OU because he will be the man at OU instead of one of many at other schools. That seems kind of random but hope it's true.

Of course, he also said that Lon told him yesterday that "Hall" was starting last night.

Take that for what it's worth!

It is true.

Ok, NOW I believe it!

Thanks for the confirmation. Just from an outside view I don't feel at all confident that he's going to be a Sooner but at least there's a chance. Last night made me feel good about our future either way, but with him added to the mix it could be special, like another Booker T legend back in the day!

Not a troll, at all. But thank you for the attention.

Fyi Bryce Thompson was at OSU's GIA last night...

OSU fans chanted “We want Bryce” at multiple points throughout the game for Booker T. Washington standout, Bryce Thompson, who was at Gallagher-Iba Arena to watch the game. This came one day after the No. 2-ranked high school recruit in the country, Cade Cunningham, verbally committed to OSU.

The Cowboys got the win in front of Thompson, but their performance showed they are far from a finished product.

EDIT: can't get the photo to show up, so here's a link instead

Bryce brought his family with him and took some pictures in the student section afterward. Even got involved with the chants from the students. Looked like he had a great time.

I'm as anxious as anyone to find out who he picks, but I always find the reports of the various visits amusing. Any time a high profile recruit goes on a visit, they will be treated like royalty and will have a good time. If there is ever a visit where the recruit looks miserable and says, "Man, that really sucked," THAT would be newsworthy. It's safe to say that kids love to keep the drama building till the announcement. Inside info that we get from some of our posters (e.g., the involvement of Rayford Young) is much more valuable than anything that the kid will publicly disclose.

More alarming is that he went to OSU, but had to cancel his OU visit. That alone speaks volumes.

I’d say more alarming was OU’s attendance on Tuesday

It’s probably beneficial he canceled

Exactly. Plus, if he was simply picking based on that factor, neither OU nor OSU would be remotely in the mix. He would have picked KU long ago if crowd size/volume was the main consideration.
