I'm not happy either....this is a terrible season...but we have 3-4 decent players coming back: Pledger, Clark, Neal, Fitz. Plus Osby (we'll see) and Goff (we'll see too) and a serviceable back up PG in Blair and maybe another in Newell...and they won't get worse. Plus the recruits if we get 'em look good. (If we don't get 'em it bodes very bad for Capel.) So why not keep him 1 more year. He has a huge long term K that we'd have to buy out. And what better could another coach do with our personnel next year. Capel has done ok with our personnel this year (bad losses to Neb and Chaminade; good wins at Iowa State and Baylor at home), the problem is our personnel is at a 30 year low!

If i'm not mistaken....didn't he take us to the 2nd round his 2nd year and the elite 8 his 3rd year???? So why should we listen to your Einstein theory when its obvious you don't want to support nothing but winning.

Would KU fans accept these results...they almost didn't accept the results they were getting and they were pushing to have Self fired..Its a good thing that the AD didn't listen to fans like you b/c they wouldn't have a NC banner hanging in their stadium from this decade.

Nebraska at home...we are rebuilding...get it thru your head. It happens during a rebuilding season. We don't get the luxury of a school like KU and UNC and UK who have a long tradition of great facilities and great fan support and NC's. So when we get a team that goes to the elite 8(would have been further if we didn't run into the future champs) and not expect us to take a hit the following year. Its happened with this program before.

Capel will not be let go at the end of the season b/c Joe C is well aware of Capel having to rebuild.
