I think this reeks of exactly what most are saying. He couldn't get any high-level assistants to take the jobs.

As for the quote below, aren't you arguing against yourself? On one hand you denigrate the OT hire (ie. big name guy) and then put these guys down for NOT being big names. I'm not picking on you, but I'm probably somewhere in between.

Are you insinuating you know something about these 2 guys? Did you think OT was a good hire too? How'd that turn out?

I asked a question. Who have they recruited? Still no names of difference makers they have ever landed. We won't beat many Big12 teams with the Bucknell or UTSA level recruits.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that an assistant job at OU isn't highly valued today or we would have heard of some interviews.
