If your looking at scout...we have 2.
Top 150 is what most sites show. I'm pretty sure I only used either Scout or Rivals, and didn't "cross-breed" between the two.
That said, Cam (around 30), Fitz (around 65-70), and Pledger (around 100) were all top 150 guys. Cade has played as a top 150 player, but wasn't one. He and Neal were OK POY's though. Blair was 1st or 2nd team all conference last year in a D1 conference. Honore was good in his conference. Washington was a JUCO AA, right? I was told the only reason Newell wasn't top 150 was grades and I believe lack of AAU (not positive on that).
Point is, if you ONLY look at top 150 prospects, OU had 3, and I showed that none of TT, Colorado, ISU, or Nebraska had recruited a single top 150 kid in the last three classes.
So yes, OU has brought in more talent then those schools. Maybe Capel just hasn't used it, or developed it, very well?
I love how fans look at the end result (the way guys are playing, and our record), and immediately tie that back to talent. These recruiting services aren't perfect, BUT THEY ARE NOT MISSING ON ALL OF CAPEL'S RECRUITS, WHILE GETTING KU'S AND DUKE'S RIGHT. Some of these kids are simply UNDERPERFORMING under Capel, and that is NOT a talent issue. That is a coaching/development issue.
Say that our players aren't playing as well as less talented players at other schools. Fine. I agree. But don't refer to that as a talent issue. That is not talent. That is coaching/development.
