ESPN staff final 4 picks

Maaaaybe because KU is playing in a regional where there's a team that has all NBA players On it that recently beat them by 30+ and is currently sitting 34-0....just a guess though....

You're a little late with that, but nice try. And I think if I'd said we were toast with us down 7 with 16 minutes remaining in Saturday's game, I might not rush to call out anyone else for a few days. Y'know, kind of lay low for a while.

This is flattering, and it could happen, but ISU is pretty scary. I think they'll make serious noise.

Why do our fans rate ISU so highly? We were (potentially) one technical foul and a blown layup from sweeping three games from them.

They're a talented team, but we've matched up with them just fine. It's that familiar syndrome (one sees it on the football boards too) where our fans overlook the failings and shortcomings of other teams, but hold our own team's feet to the fire on every flaw, real or imagined.

He's always thought very highly of his opinions and will argue them tooth and nail - been that way since the day he drove me to start posting on OUI. I will say this though - he definitely cares about OU basketball. I've learned to take solace in that! Lol

I don't think that's the case at all - Hoiberg gets a ton of love nationally (along with NBA teams calling his name) and their style of play is difficult to match up with especially in a 1 game scenario.

They are well coached, explosive on the offensive end with multiple options and again know how to take advantage of matchup issues.. I don't see anybody predicting them to knock off Kentucky but I don't see how saying they have a shot at making the F4 is that off. I mean they just won the Big 12 Tourney and were tied with us for 2nd.

The downfall of this team has often appeared to be a tendency to sleepwalk for stretches. If the idea of being in the NCAA tournament doesn't wake them up, there is no hope. But, if it does, they could go a long way. There is talent on this team.

I think they're really good, too, but so are we. But so many of our fans rate them above us and I just don't see it. I'd say the two teams are about as even as can be (and the results on the court suggest I'm right).

I see it often that our fans overlook flaws, bad losses, etc. in other teams that they would never forgive our own team for. It's an odd but frequently witnessed phenomenon, and that's what I was posting about.

The thing about Virginia is that we'll keep it close. Both teams play incredible defense, and Virginia is not elite offensively they play slow, which holds the score down. We'll have a shot against them for sure.

A friend of mine pointed out that they're like a good KState. That's not good and bad. Good, because we will be in the game the whole way but bad because it's not a great matchup.

I think we get by Albany OK but Dayton scares me and Boise State can be tough as well.
