Finished 3rd in Big 12

I am happy with 3rd this year. However, I wouldn't call OU a younger team, we have a senior and 4 juniors in the rotation.

We were a new team -- lots of new parts added that hadn't yet competed together.

This regular season has been awesome so I expect the tourney to be just as wild. Regardless of OU success or failures. I can’t wait.

It’s not that at all. It’s losing to crap teams we have no business losing to because we don’t show up. Iowa st, kstate, texas osu. Those 4 wins and we’re a top 6 seed instead of sweating it out. 4 bad teams and we choke. That’s what gets people pissed off b

This

This makes us like probably 95 percent of teams in the country. No denying the games at OSU, KSU, and ISU were terrible performances. But Texas and OSU aren’t awful teams. If you are looking for a team that has not had at least a couple awful games this season, I’d say you should cheer for KU or maybe Gonzaga. Other than that, you won’t be satisfied with any team in America this season.

Ups & downs but overall good in conference play to get to 3rd. Of course people still have to complain about something.

I think you can look at OOC too. Not just W's and L's, but how we played at times.

Getting WHOOPED by a Stanford team that is on the bubble.
Losing to a WSU team that will need to win a couple of games in their conference tourney to get in.
Barely beating a bad UCF team.
Struggling with a NT team that will be a 13 seed or so (assuming they win their conference tourney).

It's the nature of this team. When we get down on them they go up and when we feel good they pull the rug out from under us.

We'll see how that works out come Tourney time. I'd be even money today that neither Baylor nor KU make the Final Four. Depending on matchups, I could see Baylor getting bounced in their second game.

Those two teams are #1 seeds because they absolutely RAN THROUGH a weak Big 12. Really.....THIS OU team is the third best team in the league? lol

Last year you were saying the big 12 wasn’t the best because it didn’t have the top tier teams. This year it is the big 12 only has the top tier teams.

This is one of the very best leagues in the country.

Osu and Texas are not “crap” teams. And @ ISU when they had their top 5-10 pick was not a bad team.

At ksu is the one real egg of the season and still that is not a bad loss in the metrics

DUDE!

We disagree. No need for you to bring it up, directed at me, every day, unless I direct something at you.

I get it. That is how YOU feel about the conference. I disagree. Life goes on.

Yesterday, we had both extremes in the same game. They are kind of like the Oklahoma weather!

Not about feeling. About statistical facts

It's not. You present ONE way of measuring it, and I've typed a lot of words over the last couple of years about how the differences in conference size and how these rankings are measured can distort the truth. Not to mention people simply disagree. What makes a conference best.....how good the teams are towards the top, or the teams that are at least playing in the postseason? Or depth from the first team to the last? Different strokes for different folks. The Big 12 consistently underachieves in the postseason. That is a fact as well, but one you choose to overlook.

You did say last year the ACC was better because of the top teams, and said the bottom being bad didn’t matter.

Boulder is just pointing out your desire to only downplay OU doing well every chance you get.

Very much this

Yes, many of the bottom feeders (Nebraska, Colorado, and A&M) left the conference which strengthened the conference overall.

As for last year in the NCAA tourney:

Baylor was a #9, beat the #8 and lost to #1
OU was a #9, beat the #8 and lost to #1
Tech was a #3 and played for the national title
KU was a #4, beat the #13 but lost to #5
KSU was #4 and lost to #13
ISU was #6 and lost to #11

Some good, and some bad, which is like every other conference pretty much every other year.

I agree to an extent. There’s no shame in losing to good teams on the road. My complaint was not even showing up and competing at Iowa st, KSU, and osu. It’s not that we lost, it’s that we didn’t even compete and we’re blown out by team at the bottom of the conference. We had no business losing to KSU. We had no business getting blown out of the gym at Iowa st and osu. We had texas beat and we blew it at the FT line.
