... It wouldn't surprise me if Frank were leaving, and honestly, as much as I love a good shooter, I don't like the way he handled the SAE stuff, so I won't be too disappointed. But Frank is also a jokester, and if there is anybody that would work with the OU bball department on a good April Fool's joke like this, Frank is probably the guy.
But if he is leaving, all the talk about transfers makes a WHOLE lot more sense.

NORMAN — Oklahoma head men's basketball coach Lon Kruger announced Wednesday that sophomore guard Frank Booker has decided to transfer.
Booker played in 64 games during his two seasons as a Sooner, averaging 5.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 14.2 minutes an outing. He made 78 3-pointers and shot 33.5 percent from behind the arc.
"I had a great experience here," said Booker. "I appreciate Coach Kruger giving me the opportunity to come play basketball at OU. I've grown a lot since I've been here. It was a hard decision, but it simply came down to the opportunity to return closer to home and to get more playing time."
From Augusta, Ga., the 6-4, 193-pound Booker averaged 5.0 points, 1.4 rebounds and 0.6 assists in 14.3 minutes a game this past season in helping the Sooners to a 24-11 record and a 12-6 Big 12 mark. OU tied for second place in the league and advanced to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 for the first time since 2009. He shot 30.3 percent from 3-point range and 82.4 percent from the free throw line.
Over the season's final 12 games, Booker averaged 6.8 points and shot 35.7 percent from 3-point range (20 makes). He scored a career-high 17 points in a Feb. 21 win at Texas Tech (4 for 8 from long distance), 14 points in a Feb. 9 win over Iowa State (4 for 6 from deep) and 12 points in the Sooners' NCAA third-round game against Dayton (4 for 6 from behind the arc).
"We understand Frank's wishes and are totally supportive of him," said Kruger. "He had a very good first two years and we expect him to finish well at whatever school he chooses."
He is leaving it isn't a joke. The guy knows that he isn't going to play as much as he did this year.
A few of us having been hinting at this being likely to happen.
I find it extremely hard to believe his minutes would go down next year in any circumstance. If Buddy leaves he'd be looking at doubling his minutes.

Transfer and/or maybe offer Tyson Jolly?

I think Odomes and Buford are better than him.
How do schools like Wisconsin, Michigan State, etc. keep a good bench? This is two years in a row that OU has lost its best bench player.
lol.....that just reminded me. I broke the news, however many years ago today, that Ryan Humphrey was leaving OU. Despite swearing up and down it wasn't an April Fool's joke, I was reamed. A week later, the news was made public.
