I’d expect Kentucky to win pretty easily. Oweh will probably have his best game. If it gets moser fired, it will be worth it.

You do realize if we win the game - which is quite possible - we are probably one win away from making the tournament?

I get the Moser hate, I really do, but we should want the guy to win so we don’t have to pay millions of dollars to buyout him/his staff.

I do want to make the tourney but I have zero faith he will do it. And I think we need at least 3 more wins to make the tourney. I will watch and cheer and probably lament all the poor play. I just have zero faith in moser.

I'm mad at myself for having an iota of hope, but here we are. UK does not play good defense. If we hit open 3s, we can win this.
Agreed. Our success this year, particularly in conference play, evolves around three key issues:
  • Shoot better or as well as our opponent. Can't have the 75% vs. 27% first half like Tennessee
  • Keep the rebounding margin respectable. May not be able to outrebound the other team, but lose the offensive boards 21-6.
  • Avoid unforced or stupid turnovers. Especially down the stretch like LSU and MSU.
Fortunately, UK doesn't play crazy tough defense, don't kill their opponents on the board, and actually average more TOs than their opponent. They also get to the line less than their opponents, which is good for us. The biggest challenge is they do shoot the ball well and do get off a lot of threes.

It will be an uphill battle to get all those things right. But this is probably our best chance of a win against a ranked opponent the rest of the way. UK is only 3.5 point faves. Get this one and steal one to send out Rodney Terry in Austin, and our odds of making the tourney go up dramatically.

Unfortunately for us, their defense has been better recently. Not great by any means, but probably good enough to guard our offense.
