Unlike when TMG came here...We actually have Newell and Blair on the team. We also have a lot of experience players here unlike when TMG was here. So it would be a lot easier to put Guerrero in his place than it would have been with TMG. Didn't really have a pg other than TMG and besides Crocker and Wright...Not a lot of maturity and guys with experience on that roster.
Opinion sure changed when it looks like he ain't comming here.
From what I've seen the dude has the ability to become another TJ Ford just as easy as a bust. We need all the scoring threats we can find.
Its the same thing OU football fans do when we lose a commit as well.the same thing happened when TJ left the team in December. Its quite comical
Gottlieb has better connections through out the basketball world than any us on this board combined but I really doubt if he has seen Cezar play live. I really don't recall Gottlieb getting around and watching a ton of AAU and High School ball as that isn't his job, he's a college bball guy first. I'll take Capel and company's opinion on Cezar over Gottlieb's in this case.
Let's be honest, this is the time of year where a Top 50-150 guy that hasn't comitted gets some love and hype, a couple months from now, JUCO's will be difference makers. If you were a HS recruit, why would you EVER sign early?

Like Jeff has shown the ability to evaluate talent and character. :ez-laugh:
I didn't mean it to sound like I wouldn't take Guerrero. I just like passing pgs better. At this point, I'd take any pg that has a pulse.

Guerrero is a 4* just like tmg wasHe may be similar to TMG in that one respect, but I dont see him being nearly as good as TMG. TMG had a bad attitude and played little defense, but he has a great ability to score and could set people up when he wanted to. His pull-up jumper was pretty unstoppable at times. Plus he was much better built for the Big 12 than Guerrero. It wouldnt surprise me to find out that TMG was on steriods. But thats just a random thought that I had each time I saw his 18-year old body that was as built up from day 1 as it was.
Anyways, my point being that TMG was a 4-star MAA and Guerrero is a 3-star flashy highschool player that may not make much more impact than Jai Lucas if he tries to play in the Big 12. Wouldn't suprise me if he settled for somewhere like Florida International either now, or 2 years down the road after not cracking a KU or UT lineup.
Gottlieb said today that Cezar is a tough guy to play with because of how much he attempts to score. He gave the kid props, but mentioned he didn't think he fit at OSU with Nash. He said the kid can score really well.
