Honestly, anybody we get is an upgrade over Capel's last 2 years

I have come in from the ledge from earlier today, and as I think about it, surely anybody who is interested is an upgrade from what Capel did to us the last 2 years.

I don't see how anybody could be any worse, so I am just going to rest in the fact that whoever is hired is a definite upgrade.

Now, how much of an upgrade? Nobody knows but it's an upgrade.

All we need at this point is somebody who can clean up the mess and get us back to a point where we can hire somebody better.

He's targeting guys over 35 and a clean NCAA slate, that's evident. BUT no, I honestly don't know anything going on behind the scenes. The latest "rumor" is that Herb Sendek may be offered.

Completely agree. I honestly don't know where we should go at this point. I might just say hire Fraschilla and let him coach while his son is there and the mess gets cleaned up. He has at least had success at a few different institutions and I am sure he can recruit. Not what I wanted, but I would take him over any mid-major guy at this point.

Are you saying Joe C should hire someone to right the ship, just so he can fire him a few years down the road? You don't just fire a coach who has turned the program around to hire someone 'better'.

These coaches are like a fraternity and they talk to each other. When someone is screwed over by a school they tell each other. Joe C is one of the most loyal in the business, and he would never do that.

Would be fine with Stallings. Turned around Vandy, and has remained competitive in a division with the likes of Tubby Smith, Billy D, Calipari, and Bruce Pearl. He would be a good hire.

But Fraschilla did nothing with New Mexico. He barely did anything at St. John's. I've met Fran before and think he's a good guy, but he would be a bad get for OU IMO.

Hey, I'd take Bruce Pearl, but we both know Joe Castiglione won't even consider it so I refuse to mention him as a possible candidate, except in this post.
