Hoping for a graduate transfer big

Would take this guy but it appears he would have to sit out a year correct?

He's going to have to sit which is fine. We aren't exactly in on any dominant post guys in the 2017 class so this would workout good.

Tulane transfer Dylan Osetkowski has heard from Oklahoma, Baylor, Marquette, Maryland. Will visit Texas this weekend, Arizona next weekend.

This guy can play. He'd have to sit out a year but he has a low post offensive game that could help anyone.

Clifford Ray:

I wish OU could get someone like Clifford Ray or Garfield Heard to work with the OU post players this summer. I think all of the current OU coaches were point guards in their college playing days. A "big man" coach that actually played in the post might do wonders teaching the OU post players the tricks of the trade.

This idea was suggested to me by a former OU post player from the 1960s that sat next to me at one of the recent away games. I think it is a good idea. He said that the aforementioned OU greats were "slick" around the basket with drop steps, fakes, and other post moves. He seemed a bit frustrated that the current OU post players were not taught some of these things.
I watched a lot of practices and all of the games when these two were playing. They were serious athletes.

He's a little bigger Ryan Spangler. Also, he's a nice post passer with decent handles. If we have a deadly outside game like we had this year a guy who can feed it back out like he can would be dangerous.

He's probably a legit 6'9" and he's got a better low post offensive game than Spangler. I'm not saying he's better, though he might end up better. But he does offer a low post scoring threat Spangler didn't.

I know it's stereotypical but many Polish-American athletes have been weight room fiends. Dylan can use an off year of hitting the weights, building up his upper body and improving his vertical jump. He has the frame to handle a lot of muscle. He'll probably do that wherever he goes. What he can get at OU is a whole lot of help improving his mid range and outside shot. Spangler's free throws and outside shots improved greatly over his time here.

This guy has some skills, and high basketball IQ. He would be a great addition. I think that he has a higher ceiling than Ryan.

Derryck Thornton is transferring from Duke after one year. I don't believe we were involved in his recruitment at all initially, but maybe a final four and Wooden award winner have given us some cachet.

You want him or Trae Young? OU was involved early. They offered anyway I should say.

ALL PG recruiting is on hold until Trae makes a commit. Of course contact will still be made with others, but anything short of Duval wanting to come here (0.0001%) it Trae only...

You need to look at who the favorite is to land young. It's not us. It's not him or young when everyone is picking him to go to Kentucky.

If Thornton wants to commit you take it on the spot.

Who is picking the favorite? Crystal balls...

This guy and Young are a wash to me. Both 5 star elite guys. That being said, he probably isn't even interested in OU.

Does it matter. If Thornton wanted to come here, then take him. Nothing out there points to young being a guarantee. The kid reclassified and still was the number one pg in last year's class. No signs point to young being better than him.

Same thing with Simon at Arizona. If you can land a top 25 point guard then take it. If young wanted to come here, he would have committed by now. And if he wanted to come here, having Thornton shouldn't prevent it. We play multiple point guards. It's not like Kentucky isn't going to have multiple point guards on their team.

I agree take him if he wants to come.

All kinds of humor here!

Click bait stuff!

1. Young isn't a guarantee, you're correct.

2. Reclassify was a huge mistake, Duke used him.

3. Grossly overrated at #2 pg

4. And most importantly, if no signs point to young being better than why did Duke tell him to leave and still wants Trae? Are you smarter than coach K?

Let's just talk about the last one.
1) site your source where coach k told him to leave
2) just because he's leaving duke doesn't make him not good. Just look at gbinije at Syracuse.
3) if he is overrated, he would still be ranked higher than young this year.
4) explain to me why you think he is overrated?
