Did Smart drop yesterday with that performance? Turnovers, bad shots, bad decisions. He needs some seasoning before he goes pro. But money always wins out. He'll be playing in Turkey or Greece next year.

Decisions aren't made on one game. It is the body of work and he has that.
What's his body of work? He's a really good player, but what is spectacular enough about him to warrant a top 5 pick? I guess I'm blind because I don't see it.
I don't think he will go Top 5, but name your Top 10...go.
All are going to have development question marks.
Due to the fact that it's a very weak draft class. He would be crazy not to declare this year.
The top of the draft class (elite players) is weak. Lots and lots of value in the 5-13 range.

He has had a pretty good year for a freshman. He also already has an NBA body and really good basketball instincts.
Again, gambling constantly on defense is not good basketball instincts. Having an NBA body and having a pretty good year is not enough.

I agree with you. Not ready for sure.
He definitely needs at least one more year in college.

You are half right. NBA doesn't make decisions based on one game, but it's far more about potential than body of work. He will be a high draft pick because of the potential he has, not because of what he did or did not do for the pokes.
Haha, you and I both know he would be insane to not enter this weak draft, so ready or not he's coming out.
WW was in a very similar position after his freshman year, and he came back.
Landry Jones was probably a top 10 pick last year, and he came back.
It's actually fairly common. I don't know what he will do, but with his competitive nature (not wanting to leave OSU with a single loss in the NCAA Tournament), and having his best friend on the team, I wouldn't be shocked at all if he came back.
What kind of family did he come from? How badly/quickly do they need money?
