Actually Texas has won at Iowa State and at Kansas - so 2 road wins.
They did get a nice advantage from the Big-12 office in that 3 of their first 5 games were at home - and 2 of their last 3 are at home. I think just one of two teams were set up that way. It is a big advantage to get started with a bit of an advantage and/or to end that way also.
As you would expect OU was treated - like almost all years - with exactly the opposite with 3 of 5 on the road to start and 2 of last 3 also on the road.
Most teams that have to start with more road games are counter balanced with more home games at the end. OU and WV are usually the only ones treated differently.
Was Nancy injured or just playing very poorly. Looking at stats looks like she was subbed early and may be never got back in the game. 2 sub par games in a row for her.
Nancy had a couple of quick turnovers, and it wasn't a Nancy-block type of game. They were shooting jump shots, not layups. Was it 27 three attempts? This was her first game without a block, and she wasn't really grabbing on to the ball as a rebounder.
Vivi, meanwhile, was perfect for this game.
Incidentally, once we took the lead at 8:20 of the third, IS never got it back. Every time they came close, somebody made a shot or a play.
I think that Vivi was so dominant and physical down low, that ISU had no one to stop her. She was making everything on the glass, and it was smart to play her as much as possible. Nancy's time will come. Just glad to see Vivi playing like her old self.
Yes, agreed! Nancy, as a freshman, is going to have ups and downs. Next game is time for an up!
