I don't mind being underrated, though. That will only make this team more determined to prove themselves. I truly believe OU is capable of challenging for the Big 12 title this year, especially if Thomas is eligible to play. It will likely be a little tougher if his waiver is not granted, but I still think we finish in the top four of the conference.

Point four: Depth. OU has depth with Booker and Walker in the backcourt. Walker is unproven but I trust Kruger's judgment. OU has depth in the front court for the first time in a while with Bennett, McNeace, Lattin and hopefully Buford. If Thomas is eligible OU may redshirt McNeace or Lattin if they elect to do that because they will still have two quality backups with Bennett and the non-redshirting forward. This is true even if Buford is not eligible.

I seem to recall Katz being one of the first media guys to notice that we were pretty good last season too. I am amazed at how a team that returns all but one key player from a 2nd place conference finish is getting completely overlooked.

I hope you're right about Thomas. But if he's not eligible and Buford has to redshirt, I think McNeace will play this season.

I hope you are right (and you usually are). We are a sure top 25 team with Thomas. We may be without him, but we definitely are with him.
