lolWow, that's surprising. Hope he makes the roster.

It worked out for a guy named Antonio Gates...the difference is, he was 22 years old when he went from the Elite Eight to the NFL, not 29. I would love to be wrong, but I'm putting the over-under chances at 1%.
I always said Kevin chose the wrong sport. He always looked like an offensive tackle to me. Heck of a hoops player, but could have been an all-pro left tackle.
I thought book out was supposedly a great student? What is still doing close to 30 playing around in the gym?
Is this the same guy that many said is not a good athlete. He starts as a freshman basketball player in the Big XII, he was the top baseball player in the state of Oklahoma as a senior in high school, he came close to making the Olympics and now he gets a try out in the NFL yet people actually clame he is not a great athlete. Some people have a very limited definition of an athlete.
in fairness he was never that close to making the olympics
he didn't have the "A" standard
IMHO if he wanted to make it big in a sport he should have stuck with Baseball
If you are at the Olympic Trials you are close. I just don't get why so many people have to belittle others by acting like "well he wasn't that close".
Lets be clear - Neither you nor I could get invited to an Olympic trial. We simply lack the ability to be in the Top 10 at anything related to sports. It is a huge accomplishment.
so the 5000 entrants at the swimming Olympic trials were all "close" to qualifying
