March Madness and Covid-19

Most of what you post makes me wonder if yu even know what legitimate medical literature is. You certainly have no right to make fun of anybody for weak sources.

Feel free to prove me wrong for the rest of this thread. I dare you.

Most of what you post makes me wonder if you’re a real doctor.

Steve gets very defensive when anyone questions him. Especially when he cites research from Twitter. Perhaps he’s overcompensating for something.

It’s estimated that over 370 okies will die of overdose die to becoming addicted during the pandemic

Update as of last night. That’s a good follow on Twitter for the latest news by the way.

Texas has reported their highest numbers of daily deaths over the last several days, but the reporting has strange. Hidalgo Co. reported zero deaths on Monday, but over 40 deaths on Tuesday. This was similar to Cameron County as well.....both are border counties and are not doing well. South TX including San Antonio and Corpus are more of the hot spots now....to go along with the border counties. As an example, Hidalgo County and Denton County (where I live) are both similar in population (appx 860k), but Hidalgo has 2.5 times the amount of positive cases as Denton County and 9 times the deaths of Denton County....yikes.

As I mentioned, deaths are up, but cases are trending down especially in the DFW metro area and Houston. As an example, Dallas County reported 648 new cases and 12 new deaths today. Although the new cases were slightly up from yesterday, they are significantly below the two preceding weeks. Of the 12 deaths, only one of those deaths was below 60 and that person had multiple, underlying health conditions.

I think we are rounding out the peak here in Oklahoma. I’d expect things to start heading south. Deaths will continue to rise for a bit and then drop off. I hope we are near our peak death rate. Hospitals were pretty consistent the last week and recoveries are outpacing new cases.

Once again, do loves lost earlier in the pandemic count worth less than loves lost now?

Those countries have contained the virus and are reopening. If this was a marathon we would be on the second mile because we decided to jump in the lake and swim laps instead of continuing the race.

And you're leaving out that Europe battled the virus before us, but somehow that information loses its relevance in the conversation. Following their narrative is to follow the bouncing ball.

Yes, we had a head start to prepare and we still failed miserably. We have 5% of the world’s population, but 24% of the world’s deaths.

And after our wave we will have contained the virus as well.

So are lives lost later more valuable?

Failed miserably? LOL no. This has ravaged the entire world. You are trying to politicize it and make it trumps fault.

This is Trump’s fault.
