He literally said 'if you look at other countries and our country, this thing goes away". There is no doctor, no health organization, no statistic or no fact that would lead to the belief it "goes away". His continued distortion of facts and outright falsehoods are contributing to the problems.
No, I don't believe it will just go away and it doesn't have to wipe out civilization. Since everyone wants to compare it to the flu, has the flu just gone away? No, we deal with it every year and infects 30-50 million Americans each year. But we have a method to deal with it, a vaccine, and post care treatment that is very effective. That is where we need to get, and will eventually, on COVID-19.
