We were talking about the virus and the governments reaction to said virus. They seem to be talking about me and you personally.

That said, I am letting it go and focusing on the basketball aspect on this forum.

Both parties are a party of convenience. For instance, during Obama's 8 years, all we heard about it seemed was that we were ruining the lives of our children, grandchildren, and their grandchildren due to the U.S. debt and deficit. We needed to rein in spending. Now, under Trump, fiscal conservatism is dead. Very few conservatives, like myself, want to even talk about it. So let's not act like Republicans are any better about ignoring things they preached about previously or vice versa.

The opposite of it going away is it infecting thousands, tens of thousands or even millions of people.

He literally said 'if you look at other countries and our country, this thing goes away". There is no doctor, no health organization, no statistic or no fact that would lead to the belief it "goes away". His continued distortion of facts and outright falsehoods are contributing to the problems.

No, I don't believe it will just go away and it doesn't have to wipe out civilization. Since everyone wants to compare it to the flu, has the flu just gone away? No, we deal with it every year and infects 30-50 million Americans each year. But we have a method to deal with it, a vaccine, and post care treatment that is very effective. That is where we need to get, and will eventually, on COVID-19.

Since you love to dispute anything with questions back to the person who posts, back at you.
Do you think this just goes away?
Do you think it is wise for leaders to dispute medical facts?
Do you feel our response is partially responsible for mass cancellations and the market down almost 30% in two weeks?

Bowlsby said part of the reason they canceled was that KC declared a state of emergency.

I guarantee you Gobert and Mitchell is also a big factor when they think about athletes getting it through spread. The Biogen conference in Boston and how many people were infected through that meeting will pretty much eliminate any corporation, concert or sporting event allowing any meeting of any significant amount of people.

I never said it was a stated goal of mine. What i am really singling out is the irresponsibility of people and how their perception revolves around their own kind and not the masses as a whole. Think deplorables! Elitists are elitists and it is a pockmark on society.

When I cut myself and I bleed I tell myself it will eventually stop. Does this mean I don't tend to the wound? Of course not.

It is nature's way to dictate when things start and when they stop. Think Black Plague etc. At some point it will stop for if that was not the case society would have vanished milleniums ago. Either the virus changes or we will eventually change it through scientific endeavors.

The president is not a scientist thus I do not expect him to speak like one. Just like I don't expect him to talk like a lawyer or a car mechanic or a hair dresser (threw that in just for you).

40-70% infected number came out weeks ago. It was going to happen regardless with the only variable being how quickly. So far we are doing rather well versus other nations. I mean it is an outright calamity in some parts of the world. A calamity.

The problem is shutting it down mid-tournament if a player gets sick. Just one. Can't play, and have to quarantine anybody he has been in contact with.

I understand your point, but deficits in themselves are not racist in tone. When certain people pulled a 180 on immigration the race card was played and in doing so it created walls between people and hate ensues which is absolutely destructive. Most people are not cognitive to deficits and it does not create an atmosphere of division.

We also have another 4 years to make 8 years.
