MBB TPT2 TRANSFER PORTAL THREAD 2

You exaggerated by saying that people had said he could go anywhere he wanted. No one said any such thing.

None of us can say what motivated Hill's decision. But again, many predicted from the beginning that he would end up at UNLV, which very much goes against your unfounded pronouncement.

You don't even have to leave the front page of his locked thread. There were many other comments scattered throughout this thread, but I'm not digging through 45 pages. It's been all but known for about a week that he was dropping down to UNLV, but early on there were posters running victory laps pretending numerous top 10 programs were knocking down his door. It's pretty safe to say that those schools like KU, UT, Baylor, UH, Miami, etc were not offering him a starting spot.

Every coach in the country would love Hill because he is a winning player.

Hill doesn’t strike me as a guy who would transfer down just so he can be the man on a team that has no chance to make the tourney. I am confident he will end up with a better program than the one he is leaving.

The people who don’t recognize his value as a player will be surprised when they see the options he has.

You've quoted one poster three times--that hardly qualifies as "rumors." And he doesn't state that Hill could go anywhere he wanted. He said that any coach would love Hill, by which I would guess (he can speak for himself) he meant that Hill has qualities that any coach would love to have--which is true--and not that literally every coach in the country would be offering him out of the portal.

And I'll say it again: We have no idea why Hill went to UNLV. We have no idea what other offers he might have had or whether he was even considering other offers. But the suggestions, here and elsewhere, that he might go to UNLV began immediately after his announcement; there's one on the front page of the very locked thread you referred to that went up 16 days ago, three hours after the thread was posted.

Your recollection matches mine. As if KU and duke were going to come calling.. and they in theory could have still. But i think this means that not really any bluebloods were calling and i am back to thinking those 500k offers were def not even remotely true

No way. He'd be a great Darian selvy

Either his options were exaggerated, or he simply doesn't want to compete at a high level.

Or he wanted to go back home for a coach he was comfortable with. And probably make more $$$

I think John Hugley IV is next, recent follows on instagram are all OU associated. Last one is a director of creative content for OU Men's bball.

I am expecting this now.

Does PM take the recruiting strategy of “do you want to be an undersized back to the basket center at the next level or do you want to go to a place that will give you freedom to play more like a modern big?”
Not saying OU will teach him that but you have to try something. If he wants to go play back to rim then UCONN would be a tough draw. Just a thought, forgive me I have had no coffee. ☕🤷*♂️
