MBB TPT2 TRANSFER PORTAL THREAD 2

Word is it became a Small or McCollum thing before McCollum pulled the trigger

If that’s true, I think it makes some sense. They seem like similar players, and with Los already a primary ball handler, it would be hard to see all three of them thriving together. Of course, only taking one only makes sense if you are able to find other transfers who play different positions or have different skill sets and body types. Front court is the biggest need, obviously, but I’d also like an athletic, bigger wing.

Good luck to him. Imo, he is a very good starting pf at a mid major, and a very good back up in major p5.

UNLV is better than OU right now. OU is going to have to have some heavy hitters to change that.

It's going to be hard to land anymore transfer guards, because unless they are studs (and studs aren't coming here), they likely won't start. Kids, for the most part, are not looking to transfer and not start.

McCollum, Uzan, Oweh, Cooper - That is a solid base, but still need at least 1, probably 2, additional players to have "proper" depth.

Godwin, Keita, Northweather - All likely can only play the 5, but we are also probably looking to add a 5. ZERO way to get them all minutes.

Cole - As has been mentioned, his long-term position is probably the 4, but he likely won't be a good option there next season. Need bodies. If we're planning to go small this year, need more guard bodies.

A few laughed a couple of weeks ago when somebody suggested we might not fill all our open scholarships from outside transfers (ie, it doesn't count if PM gives some walk-on a scholly). That is seemingly more likely to me, unless he just ends up adding a trash 13th player. We'll see how it plays out I guess.

Still work to you.
