MBB TPT2 TRANSFER PORTAL THREAD 2

He’s going to beat at Sam Godwin for minutes? He couldn’t do that this year.

If you are banking on Godwin, then that is unfortunate. I would love for him to take his minutes. Means he is necessary.

He was redshirted. Tough to beat a guy out when you aren't allowed play.

I found a few highlight videos of Northweather. His shot is a little better than I thought it would be, but I just don't see him ever really contributing. Trying to say this nicely, but he's just that big skinny white kid that can dominate in HS but is too "awkward" to really make a difference at a school like OU. I just don't see it. Maybe if he sticks around, in year 4 he could contribute, but I would think he would be a major liability on the court this year unless dude is putting in WORK.

We are going to find out about development via Luke than anyone. He has a atepback 3, a year of development under his belt... If he can get some minutes by next year or the year after with our hole at the backup 5 and post, then I am not happy with our coaching. No reason for a big not to develop for any year.

To your previous post, any HS coach who doesn't try to develop all of his players skills should be fired. No reason to waste talent by just posting him up every play.

A guard on campus today: wouldn’t be surprised if he pulls the trigger soon.

Not the surprise id guess

All defensive team and shoots 36% from 3….

I also doubt that he becomes "a guy" but i have heard good things ..

Jacob committed to Virginia. Guess Tony Bennett didn’t let the lack of a long highlight video discourage him lol.

I imagine he’ll have a very specific role for them.

Happy for Jacob. He's a good player and has a useful role on any team if he can get a little bit more consistent with his shot.

I like him a lot coming off the bench. Good size, great defender, and can play on or off the ball.

Uzan
McCollum
Oweh
Cooper
Darthard
Soares

That group has good size, improved athleticism over last year, and more overall shot creation. Cole can be a 7th guard in a pinch.

Pick up a 4 and sell out for Daimion Collins or someone similar on our last ship.

Sounds like you're describing Manek tho ha

Virginia's probably a better fit for Jacob. Their pack line defense means Jacob won't be isolated on the perimeter against quicker guards. Bennett will put him in the corner and let him shoot 38% from 3. When he's hot, he'll get some run, and when he's not, he'll sit.
