NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

If Fox plays well and Bagley can get going I'm sure Buddy's points may go down some but he will probably start shooting better and be more efficient. He's pretty much been forced to be the main guy most of this season since they don't really have a lot else than can score consistently but now they have Harrison Barnes and Bogdonovic off the bench. They should be a playoff team this year at least.

While you are correct in that Sacramento will likely forever regret that drafting mistake, it really is hindsight. At the time, the biggest need for the Kings was a low-post player (still is). As for Bowie / Jordan, no hindsight was required. Bowie was at Kentucky for 5/6 years after missing two full seasons due to injuries. Taking Jordan should have been a no-brainer.

The only people who didn't seem to realize how special Luka was were the NBA GMs running terrible teams that passed on him. He was the best prospect in the draft since Anthony Davis, it was a no-brainer.

Trae seems like a no-brainer as well. Dallas as a franchise is way better ran than Atlanta though. I'm sure if Trae were in Dallas right now they would be going pretty good with him as well. And if Luka were in Atlanta they would probably still be near the bottom of the league because they lack talent still.

Perhaps, but June of 2018 wasn't that long ago...and I don't remember anyone but Deondre Ayton being touted as the top draft pick that year while the debate began at #2 between Doncic and Bagley. I guess I just don't remember it being as cut-and-dried as you do. The "hindsight" drafts are always different than the actual ones...pick any year. Heck, even though Blake Griffin has lived up to being the #1 pick, he would be #3 in a re-Draft of 2009 (behind Curry and Harden).

Yeah most people had Ayton #1, but most had Doncic #2 and Bagley #4, I think. Will all the wing players Phoenix drafted it's hard to blame them. Imagine Sacremento with Fox, Buddy, & Doncic.

Maybe Luka’s no big deal. The Mavs broke the Bucks 18 game win streak last night without him.

Trae with 42 points 8 assists but the Hawks give up 143 points to the Knicks and lose 143-120

Buddy with 14 points in a loss to Charlotte.

Mock drafts had Ayton going 1 because everyone knew Phoenix was going to pick him, but serious draft analysts were pretty much unanimous on Luka.

Blake 15 points 2 rebounds, 4 assists in 32 minutes against the Raptors in a 112-99 loss

30 points 8 assists 5 rebounds for Trae in a loss to Utah 111-106

I like Trae, but it was a forced 30 points (9-28 FG). I'm looking forward to seeing him play in the All-Star game come February, but would like to see him be a little more consistent with his shooting. Once he is, he'll be a top 10 NBA player. He's already in the top 5 in scoring and assists, and in the top 20 in PER.

That roster is extremely bad right now. The next best player right now is Jabari Parker. Golden State currently is the only team in the NBA with a worse record and they've lost half their roster.

Bit of a down night scoring for Buddy 7 points did have 8 rebounds 6 assists 1 steal. Kings lose to the Pacers 119-105.

Trae Young 47 points on 14-30, 6 assists, 8 rebounds. Hawks lose to the Nets 122-112.

Buddy 8 points 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal in a 119-115 loss to Memphis.

Trae had his first game with Collins. Scored 30 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds 4 steals. But the Cavs beat the Hawks 121-118

Blake had 8 points 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals in 27 minutes.

Buddy is still playing. Has only 10 points midway through the 4th quarter in a losing effort to the Rockets

Blake had 14 points 11 rebounds 4 assists 1 block in a blowout win for the Pistons over the Wizards

Buddy is also playing right now but it's still in the 1st quarter

Buddy’s had a brutal stretch

Last 5 games 20-for-79 from the field 26%

They have a horrible record with Fox, for whatever reason. Though he’s now hurt again.

17 points on 6-20 shooting 4 rebounds 1 assist 1 steal for Buddy not a good game. Kings lose to the Wolves by 1.

Trae left tonight's game against the Bucks with a sprained right ankle. Reportedly, he was unable to put weight on it and had to be helped to the locker room.
