NBA- OU players and general (this thread only)

I like that we'll have a 4th NBA Sooner to post about this coming season. We may never again have as many as the 7 we had in the '94-95 season (Mookie, Harvey, Wayman, Stacey, Anthony Bowie, Brent Price and Jeff Webster), but it certainly beats the 1 we had for almost the entire first decade of this century.

We have now passed the 50 consecutive year mark (52 to be exact) of having at least one NBA Sooner...not bad considering we never even had one prior to the 1970s.

Lakers have a couple of their young guards dealing with injury issues, so Reaves may have an opening for more minutes in the early going. I didn’t get to see it, but looks like he had another solid game last night.

After a slow start, Reaves turned in a decent showing, as the Lakers got smoked by the Suns.

17 minutes, 8 points on 3-of-6 shooting, 2-of-5 from deep, with 1 rebound, 2 assists and a turnover.

The Lakers and Kings are facing off at 9 pm CT (12 minutes from this posting) on NBA-TV.

Big night for Trae tonight against the Heat: 29 minutes, 27 points on 10-22 shooting, 5-12 from deep. 3 rebounds, 15 assists, 1 steal, 2 turnovers.

Reaves had just 5 points in 29 minutes on 2-of-9 shooting. He did have 7 assists and 5 rebounds, though. He was +4.

Buddy had 13 points on 4-of-10 shooting in 24 minutes. 6 rebounds, 3 assists. He was +30.

6 points and 5 boards in 23 minutes for Blake last night
Nets lost bad to Milwaukee last night

Austin didn't play in the Lakers loss.

Buddy and the Kings play Portland tonight.

Buddy with a decent game off the bench. 17 points 4-7 from 3. 6 rebounds 2 assists. Kings beat the Blazers 124-121.

Trae 19 points 14 assists, 2 rebounds, 1 steal. Not a great shooting game for Trae as he was only 6-16 overall but 2-5 from 3 isn't bad. Hawks with a balanced scoring attack easily destroy the Mavs 113-87

Buddy with another good game, this time in a loss. 24 pts and 7 boards. And Reaves with a heck of an outing in his first career action. 8 pts in the fourth on 3-4 shooting, including 2-3 from deep. He sparked them in what was otherwise an embarrassing effort by LA. He got lots of love on Twitter from reporters covering the game.

The game announcers gave Austin some love too. The fourth quarter was far and away the best stretch for the Lakers, who were otherwise dismal, and Reaves was in for all (I think) of the quarter. He had the best +/- on the team (+17, next best was +8 for Carmelo).

Austin Reaves should get more playing time soon. It's good to see the Lakers off to a flying start with the Russ PG era. I think Buddy would have been a way better fit for that roster right now

Reaves played eight minutes in the first half and started the fourth quarter in a tie game. He is playing very well in all facets. It took him all of two games to work his way into their rotation.

Big night for Trae tonight: 32 points on 13-21, 2-5, 9 assists, a steal and 2 turnovers.

Blake had just 2 points in 18 minutes but came through with 9 rebounds.

Buddy had a productive night of scoring as he tallied 26 points in 27 minutes of court time while Trae scored 31 points in 34 minutes of play in last evening's games which were both victories (Kings are 2-2).

7-11 from 3-point range...he's clearly one the the elite shooters in the League. Two things, though continue to be frustrating. One, he was 1-6 from inside the arc...was really hoping he would improve that part of his game, and two, he continues to be a turnover machine (1:4 assist-to-turnover ratio). Until at least one of those two weaknesses improves, he's simply better coming off the bench.

Reaves only had 2 points in 18 minutes, but the bigger story is that the Lakers blew a 26-point lead in losing to OKC.

Buddy had a pretty good night as the Kings beat the Pelicans on the road: 20 points on 6-11, 3-7, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals, 2 turnovers.

reaves came in with lakers down 11 in the third and absolutely sparked a comeback win.

Blake with 3 points 3 boards. Still starting for the Nets but it's weird seeing him relegated to worst scoring starter type role player. Nets beat the Pacers.
