I'm hoping tomorrow will be upset day, particularly a certain 10 seed. Would like a 1 seed to lose to a 16 for the first time ever, pulling for it to be ku and their douchebag coach, team, & fans.

I'd call the Mountain West a loser. Looking very overrated.

I don't know that I'd call the Big 12 a loser. One loss and most of us predicted it.

Yeah, but when the third place team in your conference with the conference player of the year gets worked by a 12 seed, it's not a good start. I do think we'll have a good day tomorrow, with KSU, KU winning, and I think OU and ISU can win as the 10 seeds as well.

Also, you're right...these Mountain West teams cannot score.

He never should have been POY. What a joke that was.

He's good, but the best player in the conference as a freshman? It was hype that garnered him that award.

Hopefully SDSU does not feel like they need to save the conferences face tomorrow night.

Colorado State looked pretty good though........but it was against Mizzou. Loved that one.

The Mountain West has been humiliated to this point. New Mexico lost to Harvard and really start to finish Harvard looked better. UNLV lost to a 12 seed.

They could rebound. But they were the higher seeded team and absolutely dominated the boards. A better offensive team wins by 30.

I think the only thing embarrassing about the Pokes losing to Oregon was that they really were blown out the whole game not that they lost. Seeds really were meaningless in both those 5/12 matchups with both Pac 10 teams having home court advantage playing these games in San Jose.

On that note not seeing the Big 12 having a great day tomorrow either so, still waiting for the ball to drop on the Big 10 next. Mountain West always overrated.

It wasn't close, but as compared to other games today a 12 point deficit throughout the game is hardly a blow out. We played like crap though.

It is a tournament not a home court. You have to be able to beat a 12 seed as a 5 seed. I know OU has been upset in this Tournament, everyone has but that does not excuse OSU not showing up. They just didn't play their A game (and I didn't even see the game). It is fun to make fun of them but the reality of it is the kids at OSU were not focused even though they are the better team.

:facepalm

OSU has two sure-fire NBA players in Brown and Smart and a third who is talented enough but probably ends up as a tweener in Nash...

They are not great in the post, but they could have won if they were coached up for that game. It was not a good draw for them though.

Agreed, I think they should have won. But Oregon matches up real well with them, regardless of whether OSU is a 5, 6, 7 seed.

After the top 3 or 4 seeds in each bracket, it's about match ups with whomever you're playing.

I don't think it was as much about OSU not showing up as it was Oregon showing up - I doubt they came in unfocused, everyone knew how good Oregon was and this wasn't your typical supposed 5/12 matchup. If you saw the game it was never a contest - hence a blowout. Oregon went up by double digits early and OSU never threatened to make it a game, if you turned the seeds around it would have been a lot more befitting.

I'm sorry but everyone should realize by now how ridiculous it is that the committee put a team from a power conference that had 27 wins, finished 2nd in conference play (while losing their starting PG for a portion of it) and won the conference tourney as a double digit seed.

On another note 3 out of the 4 Mountain West tourney teams have been embarrassed and we go up against the 5th place team in conference that was 2-6 on the road. Sure as hell hope we show up and put these mid majors in their place.

how were the "exciting endings" losers? I thought there was a lot of great finishes yesterday

I don't think the UNLV loss is that shocking. They beat Cal by one point a couple of months ago, the game was a toss-up.
