Something about the water table, yada yada. The real reason is money. The cost would be too much.

Fully aware I'm in the minority on this board, and that I've said upthread.... I truly don't understand how anyone thinks this shouldn't be the citizens of Norman voting with the potential money that is being discussed. And I am not opposed to the idea at all.

It's painfully obvious to me who does, and doesn't, live in Norman. Not because they are pro or anti arena, but because they aren't listening to what the norman citizens are saying.

There are a lot of people who support the idea, not the current structure of it though. And those people will lean to a no vote as it stands now. I think I am a fairly middle of the road individual and I know very conservative and very liberal folks against it. It's not limited to one side of the spectrum. There are plenty of people, imho, who would vote yes if their concerns weren't ignored and so many outside influences weren't just telling them to basically shut up. *shrugs*

We will see where this lawsuit from the developers goes regarding the vote petition from late last year.

And while it's completely unrelated, and it has nothing to do with OU, the turnpike stuff happening at the same time is not helping.
