Made his only shot (3), made both FTs, played good D against a very tough offensive player. This could be very helpful for us down the stretch.

I think he solidified his playing over mcneece

Why no AK tonight? I wasn't impressed with Mcnese at all. Buford was big time.. I think he is starting to get it and gain more confidence..

I think McNeace has potential, but Buford deserved more minutes. And he proved that by making an instant impact in crunch time.

Loved his contribution on offense, but more importantly, his defense was much better tonight.

I thought Buford did a good job. He's more physical than McNeace but not as tall. I actually think McNeace is quicker than Buford but kind of has that deer in the headlights look when he plays.

Did anyone notice that Buford was trying to get Isaiah to switch with him before Taylor started that last drive. I'm not sure he was trying to sell the push off as much as he was trying to avoid any contact ..... since he fouled him on basically the same play in the previous possession.

I think you're right. I don't think he flopped as much as he just tripped trying to backpedal.

I agree, Buford came up big tonight, he plays with his frame well where as Manyang and McNeace lack the confidence to play their size.

Still don't think this was the time to send a message to Lattin. It wasn't bad at all.

Reminds me of stoops setting flowers for the orange bowl after his questionable personal foul. Thankfully if didn't cost us this game

Who was the clown that tweeted Buford was the worst ncaa Bball player? Surely someone else saw that tweet.

After Ksu game I think

I don't agree. He wasn't having a good night and his attitude wasn't right. Earlier a teammate (Hield? Not sure) approached him to either instruct him on something or to encourage him, and Lattin jerked away from him with some emphasis. Besides, sitting someone with four fouls is not really sending him a message. Everyone sits for a while with four fouls.

I agree. They sat Lattin after the technical because the technical counts as a personal foul and that gave him four. If OU had been ahead in the last couple of minutes they might have brought Lattin back for defense.

They needed offense and Buford makes them guard him. Because they had to guard Buford, they couldn't double Buddy as much. Buford was playing better than Lattin, and the late game situations called for a better scoring option.

I really don't think Lattin not playing late in the game was about "sending a message."

Texas was abusing Spangler on switches when Spangler was at the 4. Putting Buford in allowed Ryan to slide down to the 5 and not be in position to switch as often. Buford's a much better defender on the wings.

The move was made because Lon believed it gave us the best chance to win. It also helped spread the floor on offense, so Ibeh couldn't live under the rim on defense.

No, it was more than just that. They had several opportunities to bring in a defensive sub, including the last desperation heave. But still he sat.

Kruger was not happy with Lattin.

Nope, he wasn't...I hope the young man's phone rings twice today - a little tough love from mom and some more from gramps. We need the Khadeem we saw making big plays throughout most of January.

Guerin Emig tweeted that the coaches were yelling at them to switch before that play. I guess either Cousins didn't hear them or they didn't get the opportunity to do so.

On plays like that, when a guy is moving backwards, it doesn't take a ton of contact for them to fall over. Their momentum is moving backward and that's difficult anyway. A little nudge can cause them to lose their balance.

not sure who the clown was? but I remember the post.

hang tough brother, the more we win the more clowns will filter in and ruin the great board that this is.
