This team just reeks of one of those teams with a "decent" record, but when you look a little closer this is what you see:
  • Loss to Stephen F. Austin
  • Loss to a 5-4 Arkansas team
  • Tie game to UT Arlington with 2:00 minutes left, won by 4
  • Down 10 with 7 to go to a 5-4 ORU team, won by 1 point
  • Clobbered by Gonzaga
  • UTEP was within 4 with 1:50 left in the game
  • Got some late free throws to beat Northwestern State by 4

So again, several of those are wins. But those are NARROW, mostly come from behind wins against NWSU, ORU, SFAU, etc .

This team will finish in the bottom 3-4 this year in the Big 12 this year.

You just wait for a loss. Smh

What about the win over A&M that wasn't a bad win. This isn't a great team or anything but we lack a PG and M'Baye has been awful at best. I'm not sure he should be playing honestly.

Mbaye has been terrible and this team is terrible. We are stuck in neutral and it sucks.

not sure what to think anymore, OU is taking too long to get Pledger going early, M'Baye cannot hold onto the basketball, Clark cannot carry over a big game perfomance again, Fitz wants to shoot it from 15ft each time , Osby is an undersized post, Hield and Hornbeak look great than remind you they are still freshmen, Cousins looks like he has hit the wall, Neal's game is in the toliet, and your best half court PG was out with a concussion tonight. This team does play tough defense, but as an offense i have no clue what they are trying to do.

Texas A&M is terrible . . . go look at their schedule.

It was a tough loss last night, and I understand the emotion, but the Big 12 is an absolute dumpster fire this year.

OU has about as good of a chance at finishing 3rd or 4th as they do finishing 9th.

I don't disagree with a single post in this thread. I am so tired of watching bad OU basketball. They are getting better, but it has become a chore to watch my favorite team play my favorite sport. For the past 4 years it has been optimism and anticipation over the summer followed by frustration and disappointment. I will keep watching, and I will be more positive, but you wonder why no one goes - people who love this program get frustrated and unhappy when watching the games.

I think we will improve (what choice do I have), and I still think Kruger is the guy to get us there, but this has been a long hard journey out of the gutter and it has been painful to watch more often than not.

IMHO, the best line up to start would be:

Grooms- Cousins is doing nothing offensively to help the team
Pledger- Looks like his shot is coming around, but needs more looks
Hornbeak- Has a very well rounded game
Fitz- played a lot better last night and is clearly ahead of MBaye offensively
Osby- best overall player on the team

I think Hield has played great. You prefer him off the bench?

This is what I would go with as well. Couple this with not subbing every 3 or 4 minutes and maybe we can build some chemistry. We have none right now.

there's going to be some stiff competition for the bottom 4 in the big 12 this year.

HA! True. There are some really bad teams in the Big 12 this year. TCU and West Virginia may be worse than Texas Tech and OU!

Spot on... its really difficult to watch this garbage right now. They are just flat out boring, and not very good.

They are better than 09, 10, 11, :capelspin and 12. At least what I've seen.

I know, that's not saying much.

They're worse at shooting so far than all of those teams, except probably last year.

Yeah Fitz is shooting .400 from the field and most are inside shots and it gets worse from the line .430. Someone wanted him in the starting lineup??

so you want to ignore last year where he shot like 73% from the line and 47% from the field? His minutes were cut down by 10 minutes and he isn't starting. He hasn't been able to get in a rhythm
