I'm all for the guys at OUHoops merging a football forum onto their site if this site is gonna go to crap.​

Is Football Coming Your Way?

It's rumored by many members of a free site that aren't enamored with their migration to a new site format, which doesn't look professional at this stage of their development. Perhaps down the road it will. I'd be shocked if they kept the current format and expect premium access really.

We'll the rumor is that this site is looking to adopt Football.

Is that true? Just curious...

I would. There is a large number of people looking for free football talk and you can interface it with soonersports.com like the Basketball forum. What more would anyone want, knowing they don't get access to recruiting videos and other stuff unless they go premium elsewhere.

I like the idea. All we would need is a football expert the equivalent of Greg Parker. It would help traffic on this board and improve the content. I llike the fact this board is a fan driven board. A football fan driven board would be great, with the right fans!

Heisman, most of the mods over there are good people. I know of at least four who have posted here problem free for sometime. The difference is the atmosphere on this site, and I hope it stays that way.

The only thing OUI really cares about is their 'paying' customers. If the paying customers don't like the new site and vote by cancelling their subscriptions, they'll be looking for another alternative.

Yeah a seperate football board would be the best. I would love to help out with that.

According to a recent post by Brian Bishop, after the move to OUI's new boards, only O'Connell's and the Ticket Exchange boards will be free. For the rest of their boards, anyone can read them, but you will have to be a paying member to post. I let my membership expire because it wasn't worth the cost. Nothing has happened to change my opinion on that.

That's so stupid. It looks like I'll have to go to SoonerFans or the rivals and scout boards for the game threads. But I guess people that don't pay aren't their target anymore. They just want more money.
