No fouls on Tech in the last 9 minutes of the game. Seriously! I thought we were going to get into the bonus early after they committed 5 fouls in the first ten minutes of the half. Never happened.
i hate being this guy, but tech was not called for a foul in the last 4 minutes and 30 seconds of the game, while the sooners were called for at least 6 during that time -- not including the intentional fouls at the end.
tough to win on the road in the big 12.
Totally agree. College refs tend to get very rattled. There was zero consistency tonight. Called a foul on doo when evans jumped directly into him while he was backing off. Next play reaves gets hammered going to the rim, no call. Not saying we would have won tonight, but it was very frustrating to watch.
I have just about zero confidence this team can beat an NCAA tournament-type team on the road. They just don't have enough moxie yet in crunch time. They had better damn well win on Saturday or the perspiration will increase.
They might win sat but don’t count on it a top 15 team we are playing
We have to beat wvu and Iowa st at home or we’re not making the NCAAs. We’re at the point in the schedule where we can’t afford to lose home games to beatable teams. We need 5 more wins to be sure of a berth.
Wvu
ISU
Tech
Texas
at TCU
Those are the best chances at wins for the rest of the season. We need them all.

The bottom line is this: we are an average team. Average teams have to play perfect games against better teams in order to win, especially on the road. Average teams have a thinner margin of error so they can’t absorb bonehead plays and we had too many of those. We also left their shooters open way too often. It’s tough playing well and still losing but that’s the life of an average basketball team in a good league.
“Average” teams don’t get at-large bids into the NCAA tourney...OU has a great chance to get in. Average teams don’t lose AT the #1 team in the country’s house by 2 points either!! Some of you have NO idea what “average” means!!
This game was simple. We hit 25% of our 3’s (typical on the road for A LOT of big 12 teams this year), they hit 55% of their 3’s!! We missed some WIDE OPEN opportunities!! We make just a few of them...we most likely win!
Some of you morons were ready to bet the house that tech would cover!! Ou played very well...just came up a tad short....not really a lot of cry and moan about...but that’s all some of you know how to do.

Although I would love to beat WV, I think we have a much better chance of winning in Stillwater than we have of beating the hillbillies. WV will be the most physical team we play all year. How will we handle that?
