What I don't like is that he lays things on the players almost too much. It almost sounded like he said the team should have been prepared. Here's almost what he was saying "Tech was doing what I thought they would do but our players just didn't play well." Basically he lays it on the players too much. Maybe you just can't connect with the players well enough to do what you want them to do. That's a pretty decent part of coaching. Sometimes if you play a Kansas. Texas type team on the road losses like this happen. But this is the worst team in the South outside of Oklahoma and we lose to them by 26. That's pathetic.
Effort has been a problem all season. Most of the time, we manage one "good effort" half. Today we didn't. I never thought OU basketball would have trouble playing hard for two halves of basketball.
That alone, since it's been a problem since day one, is reason enough to fire Capel IMO.
