*******OU-Washington Gameday Thread*******

Guys, I didn't get to see the game so what was the final score.

Good effort for the last 24 minutes of the game. Need to play a full 40 minutes next time.

God that frustrates me...I can't believe it. The worst shooter on the floor takes it again...

OU looks like they are a Sweet 16 team maybe, come March.

You know better than that.

Damn.
Poor, tentative game from Thomas really hurt us.

Spangler had great position on rebound but ball hit rim twice. Bad break

Well, bad game that we almost won. We need have more good games though.

For those who say "Good effort", it's still a loss. How about good effort for the whole game. So Jordan is 0/2 this year at the end of games, no more him taking last second shot

WTF was that? You can't play the first ten minutes of the game that sh!tty and expect to beat a good team. This isn't a bad loss at all, but it hurts because we can play so much more a of a coplete game. I'm tired of these " learning f***ing lessons" type of games.

Eventually, the whole "their young, they'll learn" excuse is all used up

Many times the "it's a learning experience" is nothing more than an excuse. The game is played at such a hectic rate that I doubt that players are reliving things from the past and correcting mistakes on the run.

Just a bad play call by Kruger. Spangler and Thomas couldn't really score 1 on 1 against their bigs, so why call an ISO play for Thomas at the end?

It should have been a pick and pop between Cousins and Thomas, and either Cousins gets a midrange jumper or Thomas gets the pass on a pick and pop and has a good look as well.

And Woodard is one horrible shooter.

I have a pretty good idea. Don't fall behind a good team by 20 in the first half. You'll win a lot of games not doing that.

I wasn't upset with the last play. Washington was playing for Isaiah or Buddy to take the last shot, and it was designed for Thomas. He was doubled down in the post so he kicked it out to Woodard who might have panicked about how much time was left, but he basically shot a free throw. It was a decent shot but it just come up a little short. He almost got a bounce.

Good comeback. I liked how they played in the 2nd half.

We know it's a loss. We're all frustrated but come in off the ledge--or at the very least, don't lash out at those who don't melt down after a loss as you seem intent upon doing.

Did you think when we trailed by 20 that we'd have a shot to win it and would lose only by two? I'm guessing not. If you can't find a way to view a huge comeback that fell just short as a positive (a still-disappointing end result, yes, but a very positive effort from our guys), then that's your issue.

Sometimes it's just not a team's night. Any of a dozen plays could have led to a different result -- the non-continuation call on Buddy's drive was huge, and those two giant bounces that Woodard's final shot took were brutal. We likely get the rebound and a putback without those two bounces.

But I'm proud as heck of the guys for fighting back.

This game was lost in the first fifteen minutes with a repeat of the second half at Creighton.

I'm still in shock that this team was downright awful in the early part of the first half. Didn't they learn anything from the Creighton loss? :facepalm
