What answer do you want? Ok, yes UNC was 20-17. Whoopty-damn-do. That's Roy's worst year and it would still be Capel's 3rd best year @ OU. I don't get your point (you don't have one). Is a coach as great as Roy not allowed one up and down year? I don't even like Roy but the guy is a GREAT coach. To argue that would be showing a lack of intelligence.

Did they have 7 or was it 8 McDonald's All Americans last year? The guy is a better recruiter than Xs and Os coach IMO...but recruiting is a big portion of his job. I wouldn't start with the intelligence game.

Exactly. His worst year they went to the NIT finals.

They were 16-16 in the regular season and got into the NIT based on name along. OU couldn't get in with a winning record a few years earlier.

He is a solid coach and great recruiter, but a great coach doesn't go 16-16 last year in the regular season with that stacked roster. Thankfully for him, he coaches UNC where it is easy to get players. Hell, he has had 2 of the best 3-5 jobs in America when it comes to college hoops.

It makes sense to compare Williams and Capel because they coach at similar programs...Wait...

If the last couple of years has proven anything for OU McDs AAs are overrated. We had the leading scorer from that game 2 years in a row and still ended up with back to back losing seasons.

No. Less than that. And I think, their top 3 or 4 scorers were returning players (all Burger Boys). Would have to check that.

No we didn't lose that much of our playing time. But even if we did last years team stunk. UNC's team was the best in the nation. We lost a bunch of worthless weight.
