D1 Teams can either play 2 exhibition games or have 1 and 1 scrimmage!

Baylor scrimmaged Gonzaga in OKC today? thats wild.

I know the budgets for men's hoops are not small, but it seems such an expensive endeavor to travel that far for a scrimmage. OU scrimmaging Tulsa or SMU, I could see, but Oregon in Las Vegas? Do they stay overnight, or fly in and out on the same day, I wonder?

what sucks is any reports coming out of the scrimmage have to pretty much be leaked or from players .. teams cant issue stats or recaps at all ..

They are flying out tonight and scrimmaging tomorrow afternoon. Fairly sure that they don't fly back until Sunday. To my knowledge it is the first time we have done it. Apparently many schools do it every year. We certainly will get more out of it than playing a smaller division team as an exhibition.

Nobody is allowed to watch it except actual employees of the program.

Didn't we do it with Tulsa a few years ago?

Will we be able to get ANY information?

what!!??!!

you mean someone will pick up a ball and dribble it and I wont have 5 people telling me how horrible or great he was or how under/over rated his recruit rankings were?

how will I go on????

I hope someone gets to plant Pritchard on a drive. I get Vegas, but why would the zags play in OKC?

NCAA nazi! Kidding. Flying to Vegas is cheap even commercially so I bet someone donated or discounted a plane to Vegas. Cool for the kids. Plus no foreign tourney this year so the kids deserve it!!

It's a good break from the daily grind of practice, and gives them a chance to play against a different team and system. Plus they can go out tonight and have some fun. Great bonding experience.

Gonzaga was definitely in OKC yesterday. Mark Few was at the OKC Thunder game last nite.

The entire Gonzaga team was at Thunder game to see their last year teammate.

These are recruiting tools. And the price of getting the basketball team out to Vegas is peanuts. Smart move by Kruger. His management of the program is really impressive, it's really impressive. Unfortunate that the same is no longer true on the football side of things.

Please no more football thread hijacks. Go to landthieves or any other football site.
