Self unhappy with shortened prep time as KU takes on OU | TCJournal

I'm sure the refs will will be sympathetic to their cause..maybe overly so

Poor Kansas!
Should have laid down more to ISU so they could come home to pay us.

Neither belonged on Gameday, but since that was decided before the season began, you knew ISU was ready to play.

wahhhhh

C'mon, we know the real reason he is upset. He doesn't have time to take his tupee in to be washed between games

If Bill Self is unhappy, then I'm happy.

Would have been nicer if their game against ISU went to triple overtime.

It is nice to see Kansas get screwed by the conference as it never happens, but if it is against the by-laws for the school to play Saturday night then turn around and play Monday night and they did it to us, i would be pissed

Whatever advantage (I'm not sure one exists) that OU gets from the quick turnaround, Kansas more than makes up for it by getting to play this game at home.

wins the conference title how many years in a row and he's complaining?

po widdle guy!

It did happen to us; we played on Saturday night, too.

Self made it clear Saturday he wasn't pleased with this particular scheduling quirk. Because KU-ISU was selected for ESPN’s GameDay coverage, it was pushed back to an 8 p.m. tip Saturday.

“Our league, in our bylaws, we’re not allowed to do this, play a Saturday night game and a Big Monday game, but something slipped through the cracks,” Self said. “It was a good atmosphere (Saturday), and I’m glad we were a part of it, but now, the real fun begins, trying to get your team back in a short turnaround when it’s kind of a deflating loss.”

OU played at 6pm, and Kansas played at 8pm on Saturday.

This is kinda silly to complain about, as it's OU who has to travel to Kansas.

Should we cry too?
