If both teams (Sydney and Cairns) had more of their regulars, you'd be looking at a significantly tougher proposition. They'll still be better competition for the Sooners than what they'll get tonight, don't get me wrong, but as an example the Kings team will be a far cry from the one that's playing the Utah Jazz in early October.
It's really going to be one possible starter (Isaac Humphries), three reserves who probably won't play much in the regular season and the rest are pretty much just kids who are helping out at training right now - a couple have played NCAA D1 or D2 and have some talent but overall there's six guys who won't be on the team come September. Down here, the organisation has made it very clear that it's to be referred to as the Sydney Kings Invitational Team given it's not anywhere close to what the team will look like once the preseason really gets underway.
That all said, should be a fun game, as these exhibitions often are.
