We only have 2 teams left and OSU will most likely lose to ND. That means Baylor is the only team that has a decent chance of making the Elite Eight. The RPI that said the Big 12 is the best conference is obviously flawed.

Top to bottom the Big 12 is the toughest conference in women's basketball. Outside of the talent deprived Texas Tech, you could not take any team for granted this year.

Sorry this year SEC was better. Maybe ACC too.

It's more about matchups and timing than it is about conference RPI. I fully believe the Big XII was, overall, one of the top conferences this season. Whether that's true or not, it won't always equate to an automatic win when a higher RPI team plays a team that's not as highly rated.

West Virginia hurt themselves by not going inside consistently when they had both of LSU's big girls w/ 4 fouls. Instead, they shot (and missed) 3's.

Maryland was just better than Texas.

Very true and where the games are played. Playing on LSU's home court didn't do WVU any favors. And when you get hot. 2 weeks ago, osu looked like they were bottom half of Big 12 in spite of their record and now they are in Sweet 16. Like MPS said, it was amazing WVU did not pound the ball inside to Busey when LSU had their 2 posts with 4 fouls each.

Iowa State did lose at home, as did Duke. It seems a lot of teams won on their home floor. OSU did win in Indiana. Being at home really seemed to help Penn State. Notre Dame would win anywhere, and the ACC is just lucky they got ND.

IMO, Iowa State, since January, hasn't been the same team, not even close. Duke, especially with 2 guards injured, were ripe for defeat and especially playing an up and down the court team in DePaul. I thought they were slow, although talented, when they played in Norman. UNC beat them twice. Outside of UConn/ND, parity really has arrived. With the talent Tenn has, they should perform a lot better on the court than what I've seen. I'll be surprised to see them in the Final 4. I see Louisville with a very strong chance to make a Final 4 berth and Stanford making the other berth with an outside shot by South Carolina.
