The team has defined that these last eight games are their chance to define who they are as a team. They didn't do a bad job today. They did beat KU in Lawrence, (KU beat Baylor by 16).

Feb. 13, Thursday, West Virginia in Norman, 6:00
This will be as tough as any game that we have remaining. But, WV is not always great on the road. It helps that we have Griffin going well.

Feb. 16, Sunday, OSU in Stillwater, 12:00
If we can keep Donohue from getting hot, I don't know that they have the others to beat us. Tiffany is good. But, Suttles has been erratic. I think this is very winnable.

Feb. 19, Wednesday, Texas in Norman, 6:30
Texas is a better team than the one that beat us in Austin, but they shouldn't have beaten us in Austin. Play well, and we win. Play lousy, and we don't.

Feb.22, Saturday, Kansas in Norman, 7:00
We just beat them solidly on their home court with their guard going crazy from three. We can do it again.

Feb. 24, Monday, Baylor in Waco, 6:00
We play them twice with a day's rest? Who did the scheduling on this one?
I think we can stop Baylor if we do two things, don't foul, and fight on the boards. Of course, what Baylor did to Texas with officiating in Waco was worse than what they did in Norman.

Mar. 1, Saturday, TCU in Fort Worth, 7:00
This is a very winnable game. TCU simply doesn't have the talent to beat OU. It is up to us.

Mar. 3, Monday, Texas Tech in Norman, 7:00
I'm not sure Tech can beat anyone right now.

I can easily see us at 5-2.

A 5-2 finish would make us 11-7 in conference. I see us and Texas as the 4 and 5 or 5 and 4 seeds in the conference tourney with the winner playing number 1 Baylor in the semis. However, a lot of movement can occur before the conference season ends.

I don't think this team should take ANY other team lightly. Having said that, their only focus now should be West Virginia. They're a team that seems like they might be peaking at the right time, having just beaten KSU by 40, which doesn't happen very often in Big 12 play. Holmes has been really impressive this season, but I'm also impressed with their leadership which is something that has bothered me about our team. Hopefully the Kansas game was the start of something good. If we can pull out a win against West Virginia, it would certainly be a huge step in the right direction.
