What happened when he didn't learn his lesson?

No, no. They received special treatment because they were basketball players. Anyone and I mean anyone that gets caught shoplifting at the mall is hauled to jail and has to post bond before being released.
The police always have the option to write a ticket for a misdomeaner. But, the merchants at the mall insist on playing hardball.
If stealing is OK, where is the line?

He got kicked off the team. Escalating punishment for more serious/continued behavioral problems seems to me like a smarter method of discipline than imposing nearly the most severe punishment possible for a first time, relatively minor offense. YMMV.
I am not really sure how that relates either.
...Chances of garyeb coming back to defend his argument....slim to none. :clap
Sampson obviously did a good enough job at OU that Indiana hired him while he was under NCAA investigation. That says a lot about the professional opinion of his abilities.
Having said that I always thought his teams were boring to watch and he could not attract enough talent to ever give you the feeling OU was a serious program other than the Hollis years.
Kruger is a step up from both Capel and Sampson. Let's hope for the best.
