JMizzy, I know what you would do, ‘cause I would do the same thing. You would sit around thinking about it and drive yourself crazy searching for answers! ;)

Hard to have news when no one is truly interested in covering OU basketball. Really, we have one guy semi-invested and they're more reactive than proactive.

Outside of Godwin walking-on, Key and Bamisile are what I labeled 'High Priority" targets. Which just means we know they're planning to visit thanks to national guys.

For the most part, we're waiting on the same national guys to drop news.

OU was on him before he officially entered the portal. Not tampering. It was known that he was leaving VMI. But I'll be honest, I thought he'd land at a bigger program. Okay, moving on.
 
It seems as if a good number of these guys in the portal are not moving that far up the ladder once they choose a school.
 
So just trying to rewind a little bit. What does it look like we're after in the portal? I'm seeing:

Primary Focus: Scoring guard with size and/or athleticism

Joe Bamisile
Tyreke Key

Secondary Focus: Big body post player who can defend and rebound

Who are we looking at here?

Third would be PG, I guess?

With Mawein leaving, I don't think post can be a secondary focus unless the staff is higher on Godwin this upcoming year than I am. It might just be that we haven't found a post to focus on that has reciprocated our interest.
