Miami pays Pack $400k per year and now, one of their leaders is basically saying, "you better get me that money as well".

College basketball has been on life support the past 4-5 years, this NIL leveraging by players and reps might be the death cross

Agree with you. With the NIL bs I very well could be only watching high school sports very soon.

Not to say that there aren’t issues, but I think if you go back through history, you will find several other times when people were predicting the demise of a certain pro or college sport due to some supposedly existential crisis. Things tend to have a way of working out. It may not happen as quickly as some hope, but I imagine some balance will be found with NIL and the portal. And 20 years from now, people will still be watching college sports.

Ou is offering up more NIL money if you want to add to the “drama”

OU isn't offering anything. The "1Oklahoma" collective might be.

And while I get that OU is going to be "associated" with that collective, people really need to quit saying/suggesting that schools are paying this or that. They aren't.

If you are going to be that nitpicky that the schools aren't offering anything, you should probably acknowledge that OU isn't going to be associated with any NIL either (again, if we are speaking in a literal sense).

Bottom line, is that everyone knows how this stuff generally works (schools must distance) and you don't need to nitpick CoachTalk's point.

I hope the ruiz dude puts the screws to him. These morons are going to ask for more every. single. year. College sports is dead for sure

It is so bad it's comical at this point. If they were to fix the NIL and the portal issues, collegiate sports will never return to what they once were.

This is pure insanity

Common sense.

Guess who Mo followed on IG most recently? Miami assistant Kotie Kimble. Take that how you want to, I guess.

I don’t think it’s good for college sports as a fan, but I don’t think asking for a raise makes anyone a moron. Call me crazy, but I’ll pull for the college kid over the billionaire financier.

I hope they all go down like the Hindenburg.
