He doesn't dominate in college or even a consistently clutch go to guy in big games.

He's far from an NBA roster, so why are some worried about him declaring?

His strength and athleticism. He could be a better pro than people think. He seems constrained in our offense. Sometimes he shows explosive moves off the dribble, but not as often as he should.

Coming back would do nothing for his game because he will get far superior coaching at the next level. It all boils down to whether he wants to start making $ or wants another chance at winning something in college. To be honest the stars lined up better this year with Kansas being down and that easy NCAA draw than they will next year.

Are you kidding me "he's far away from and NBA roster" that's a little over the top there.

If he stays he stays but if he feels the need to go for it then with all due respect that's his choice.

Still don't see him as an NBA player. Will likely end up overseas or in the D League.

Agree. Overseas pro for a while at least. He'll have to develop a lot more before he lands in the NBA.

And the difficult thing about that is it seems once you go overseas, it is difficult to make it back to the NBA. The NBA tends to go thru retread NBA guys, rather than give overseas guys a chance. So once he is over there, if that is what happens, he may never get back.

Buddy if he decides to go will be a late first round pick that's my prediction had a family member and a few friends that have played in the league I think Buddy will thrive in the NBA the college game holds him back

Especially true for 6'4'' guards. I think his ball handling will certainly improve but he will have to develop deadly accuracy.

Most of the guys stay overseas because the life can be sweet depending on where you go

No, they stay overseas b/c they aren't given a shot at the NBA. Everyone of them would give up the sweet life overseas for a chance to play in the NBA.

Says who know of anyone by chance who did I can name two one went undrafted play for the Phoenix Suns left after his first year for the money in France it was better than what Phoenix offered him now he lives comfortably in his French Chateau lol some places can be sweet. Then again it depends on the person.

We're worried about him declaring because EVERY YEAR there are more under-grads declaring for the NBA Draft than there are draft picks. That means a lot of players are either getting horrible advice, or they just don't want to go to college anymore. If Buddy declares, I think he'll be a 2nd round pick who will either play in the D-league next year or play overseas. I'm hoping he comes back. This isn't Willie Warren or Ryan Minor, both of which would have been 1st round picks had they left a year before they actually did.

So you think scouts don't care for those camps you have no idea for some players and the system they play in sometimes is not a true evaluation of their game that is where the camps come in and allow the best to compete in other structured environment, that's how some guys stock rise over night when they are not constrained to team's playbook and allowed some freedom.
