What in the name of coaches with ugly noses is going on in Dukedom? Three straight losses by the Blue Devils, two of them at Cameron Indoor.

Has Coach K lost his mojo? Not that I feel sorry for him or his team. I wouldn't care if they lost every game the remainder of the season. It just strikes me as being really strange to see them lose three in a row, with two of those losses coming in an arena were they don't lose too often to anyone.

Amile Jefferson is out for Duke....he is one of, if not, their best player.

No Jefferson for Duke equals a middle-of-the-pack ACC finish and a 7-seed in the tournament. They're just another above average team without him.

Jeff Capel affect?

It's great, ain't it. And they haven't gotten to the meat of their schedule yet.

How long will he be out?

They have some guys who can score but this is the worse defensive team I have seen at Duke in a long time.

No Jefferson. No defense.

Ingram is sensational, however, and if they get Jefferson back, they could make a run. But both Duke and Kentucky have taken a big step backward this year.

Whatever it is, it's AMAZING. :ez-laugh:

Did my heart good to watch that whiner lose and then make excuses for the loss last night, like he was the only coach who ever got a bad call at the end of a game. Never mind the "amazing" opportunities Duke had to put the game away before that time, or the calls that went their way, just as they always do in Cameron Indoor. No, he focused on one "amazing" play.

I'm glad you posted this clip, Salt City Sooner! I needed a good laugh.

MAn, this is sad. I know it isn't popular but I have a lot of respect for Coach K and think he is a classy guy...but this isn't good.

I have family members in North Carolina, including Durham. Those who know him better than me say he comes across as classy in public, but in reality he is a foul-mouthed jerk. I'm going by what I've been told, not my own personal experience.

I didn't think his press conference was that bad. He didn't like the call, he isn't permitted to criticize the officiating so he danced around it with the word amazing.

If I was a Duke fan, I would not have liked the no call. If I were a Syracuse fan, I would not have liked a foul called.

This.

With Jefferson they are one of the best, without him...well...they lose 3 straight.

Always amazes me how many people hate Duke basketball. What Coach K has done there is nothing short of amazing. He doesn't cheat. He doesn't recruit punks/thugs. Duke has pretty high entrance requirements, I believe. And for the most part, he is super consistent in having a good team. Not many stinker seasons.

I respect the heck out of their program.

I agree. Coach K is playing with a short deck right now ...

After that game, Krzyzewski described Duke as ''undermanned'' and ''under-aged,'' praising their work ethic and lamenting that, ''We are playing our hearts out, and that has not been rewarded.''

During Duke's recent slide, two of its biggest issues - a lack of experience, and a lack of healthy bodies - have been obvious.

Jones is the only active player who has consistently logged significant minutes during the 2014-15 regular season, though Allen came on strong during the postseason run to the program's fifth national championship.

Meanwhile, one of the captains, high-energy forward Amile Jefferson, remains out indefinitely with a broken foot, and the Blue Devils are just 6-4 without him.

Duke is pretty much down to a six-man rotation with graduate student Marshall Plumlee as the only true post player. Chase Jeter, a 6-foot-10 freshman, has played only about four minutes during the losing streak and didn't get off the bench in the Syracuse game. Rice transfer Sean Obi played four minutes against the Orange.
