I'll never forget his dunk at Iowa St.
He was a stud before he got hurt. One of my favorite games at LNC was supposed to be a matchup between Blake Griffin and Steph Curry. Curry had 44 but missed a ton of shots. Blake had a good game, but Willie Warren hit a bunch of threes in the first half and it was as big of a star as anybody that game.
No doubt he has talent. I doubt some of the Thunder players like Roberson, Perkins and Thomas could score 50 in that league.
His biggest weakness is attitude.
Leaving for the 2nd round of the draft is foolish. No guaranteed money. All he had to do was stick around a year or 2 more but chose to leave after an injury year.
Should have left after his freshman year
If Tony Crocker's personality could've been spliced into Willie Warren's body, we'd be talking about his next NBA contract and how he'd make some team a contender right now.
Shame he couldn't keep his ego (or libido, allegedly... re: AJ's girl) in check. He's the 2nd - most physically talented player OU had in the 2000's.
I'm not sure there is a former OU basketball player I care less about than Willie Warren.
he was a good sooner that played hurt and sick most of his soph year ..
He was a good player, not a good sooner. I remember multiple games where he didn't get his average so late in the game they just ran ISO for him even if we were up 15. I think that year was for him to show that he could be the main guy and improve his draft status, nothing more.

a college player trying to play well to increase his value? No way! That's absurd!
