+++++#24 Oklahoma [7-1] vs. #3 Wichita State [8-1] Pregame Thread+++++

We hit 9 fgs in the second half on 28% shooting and 17% from three and win. The best thing about our play was only 8 turnovers. Oh, and Lon had his best ft shooters in at the end.

Yeah we got get better at scoring late in the shot clock. Huge FT’s by CJ to close out. Arguably best non-conference win of anybody winning virtually in the road.

Shepherd had a good game.....that conventional three point play was huge at the time.

Our Youngsters had a hell of a game!!!!

Great free throw shooting down the stretch!

Did anyone else notice the WSU coach go off on one of their bench players early in the second half? The player looked like he was afraid he was going to get slugged.

I did notice that.....wondering if he said something he shouldn't have????

None of that should have been surprising...you know we weren't going to shoot like we did in the first half. We could have still blown them out of the gym, but couldn't get anything out of Khadeem. If he had scored some points down low, it would have brought their defense a bit closer to the basket. That would have opened things up a bit.

We didn't make a field goal the last seven minutes???

Great free throw shooting and some good D goes a long way, I guess!

Lunardi’s latest bracketology has WSU the one seed in the West with us as their potential second round game.....hmmmm

such an awesome game. if you didnt know who were upperclassmen or not and had to guess based on play you'd likely say Brady and Trae were the seniors. CJ was the freshman.

I like the experience they get from the road win - especially to win a tight one. They didnt droop when they went to the line in a HUGE game. Thats a major benefit.

Coach and team both did an excellent job. we are certainly a top-20 team.

Probably our best game on D overall I thought. A few breakdowns but nothing consistently bad and lots of very good plays

I am really pleased about the win but concerned about our ability to run the game out. Seems like whenever we slow it down we get out of our rhythm.

Kruger did not look to pleased with Lattin when he picked up that foul early in the second. Other than that they all looked pretty good I though.

Marshall is an excellent coach but it's well known he's a jerk. That's why he hasn't been hired away from WSU.

Agree

Defense kept answering. Some rebounding issues still but not as bad.

There isn't an OU fan on the planet who was pleased with Khadeem Lattin today. That said, I still believe he will have a lot more good games than bad ones from this point forward.

Based on what exactly? Forget that fact that he couldn’t hit sand if he fell off a camel. He wasn’t very good defensively either. He goes for every single pump fake in the paint. Muni struggles offensively, too, but at least he defends well and owns the glass. He needs to start.

McNeace is a really hard one adjusting to on the court. His length and agility and speed are deceptively fast and you just dont think someone can be that elevated that quickly. Or stretch to this spot so quickly. He's an amazing athlete.
