with how college sports is going the gap between the haves and have nots is getting bigger and bigger
Sure. But there is also space for new haves and have nots. All it takes is 1 billionaire (see: byu).

People need to get ready for what might happen to ou football.. Im going to get absolutely roasted for this, but honestly i would put more stock in ou basketball long term than football..bc Basketball is much easier to finance bc it's less money. Idk. Well see. You get 1 guy to start buying in on basketball, we could be back ("I want you to put the word out there, that we back up" - Stringer Bell)

Correct, to the point some schools now are just going to completely say we can’t do it.

Wowowow. That is ALL TIME.. my hometown of 5k is even D2 (they now are perennial losers however). Jumping all the way down to D3 is wild

Might be roasted but this is a positive IMO. As a consumer, I want to see more big brands going after one another even at the expense of Cinderella runs in MBB or FB (really only possible in MBB).

Small schools can build around a truer amateur models. Living out in Seattle, somewhat envious of WSU fans who can actually afford the $/logistics to see their alma mater on the road or in conference tournaments on the reg even if they’re never going to make the CFP or Final Four (wasn’t likely beforehand).
