'25 Coaching Carousel Thread

I don't know where sportsbetting.org is getting their info. Sure, Porter wants out of OU, and was an assistant at A&M twice. He met his wife there. But it's basically the same job but with an arena that's 24 years newer. A&M might be a worse job because baseball is ahead of men's hoops in the pecking order.

He gets to reset his clock there.
A&M will spend on basketball.

Even being 3rd in the pecking order they still get better fan support and NIL than our hoops team gets. And in terms of fan support, MBB is third in the pecking order here too.

100% Moser should be interested in the aTm job.

I just don't see how Moser would be on aTm's short list.

aTm baseball is trash this season too.
Interesting baseball coaching nugget is, if A&M wants to blow up this staff after 1 season, they owe all of there coaches 100% of there contracts. So looking at 6-7 million for a new staff. Probably doesn't factor into there basketball hire, but if they strike out on all the big fish, it could start to factor.

They also just lost there best reliever for the season today, wild.

This is unbelievable. I guess another school wanted to join the club of handing out extensions that may/likely will regret. And unfortunately, this makes it much less likely that could be a landing spot for Moser in the near future.

Not unbelievable at all. 2 of his last 3 years were really good for Northwestern's standards. I think you're discounting that too much..

He's 3-3 in the tourney, always as a 7-9 seed. He gives the next round games quite a fight too, including a couple of 1 seeds. He has a bad winning % overall, but NW is a tough job i imagine.

"Man, Oklahoma....some of the greatest people in the world! But they don't have any money for basketball!"

Not: "Yes, I'm staying at Oklahoma! Sooner born and Sooner bred, and when I die I'll be Sooner dead!"
I wish.. no one is even looking at him unless a&m gets desperate and misses out on their top like 5 or so guys..
