Alford to Missouri?

Not sure what to think about this...IMO probably a bad hire if it happens.

If Alford is in the league too, this league is one hell of a coaches league.

They can have him. He isn't terrible, but I'd say he is a step down from Anderson.

In the late 90s/00s this was one heck of a coaches league. Alford has done a good job everywhere he's been except Iowa.

I think it would be a hilarious hire for MU. Talk about a downgrade from Anderson to Alford.

Queue Sawyer saying "there's no chance Missouri would even consider him"

Alford is solid, but he is definitely a step down from Anderson. I've had my money on Alford for quite awhile as the next Missouri head coach after Painter turned it down. The coaching pool is quite thin.

Alford is NOT solid. He recruits bad character guys. He KILLED the Iowa program. Iowa fans would laugh their arses off if Mizzou hired him.

Iowa hasn't been a good basketball program since the Tom Davis era. Alford probably did the best job of anyone they've had since. They are a bad program right now.

KRQE-TV in Albuquerque got a statement from Alford saying he hasn't been contacted by MU and doesn't care for the rumors to that effect, FWIW.
