Kara Lawson is flying to Norman today so she must be a part of the broadcast crew tomorrow night.

This game...whew. Sims scored like 40 yesterday.

We are either going to shock the basketball world tomorrow night or it's going to be worse than the effing Alamo.

What do you think will be the keys to beating Baylor, beyond outscore them?

I think it depends on how the game is officiated. If it's called like the Texas game, it might be a long night, but if it's called correctly we have a fighting chance...

But isn't it up to players to adjust to the way games are being called?

First, they have to figure out *how* it's being called. Oftentimes it seems what is a foul at one end of the court isn't at the opposite end.

A significant number of our fouls are the result of reaching in with the palm down. We are bad about that. What's bad is, it is easily correctable but we continue doing the same thing.

I'm just not one who believes all refs are Baylor grads.

I think we have to be very smart-aggressive. No silly charging fouls. Come out like we know we are going to win this game. Go to the hoop strong. Quick passes. Less dribbling.

The most important 2 things though -- everyone HAS to be scoring big time. 45percent from the field for all five starters at least and I'm not talking about taking just two shots all game long. Everyone's got to be firing like crazy to keep them from sagging in or doubling AE and to open a drive game; 2nd is rebounding -- our bigs and Campbell have got to bang and get the rebounds and get fouled. I think we will see Kellog some and if the fouls mount up for us, Sherri may have to play Gibbs.

I think you might see Goyia or Edwards on Sims a lot tonight. We need fast on her and Morgan, God love her, is not fast and we can't afford to have her foul out early.

It's Big Monday!

I think it is going to be a good game. A big key to the game is to not let Sims get into an offensive rhythm (Obviously easier said than done). In the Kentucky game and the game at West Virginia she was able to get into an offensive rhythm early, at which point she becomes pretty impossible to slow down. Both UConn and Okiahoma State were able to keep her off balance enough that she was never able to get it going offensively. If we could get her into foul trouble - that would obviously be a huge help.

I expect Odyssey to guard Aaryn, which means it could be tough for her to get going. This means the other four are going to have to step up and allow Aaryn to let the game come to her.

Also going to be a big opportunity for our posts. Agbuke gets into foul trouble a lot, and Higgins doesn't have the same finishing ability. Griffin and/or Williams MUST step up and could have a really good game.

I think this game could honestly go either way, and I really don't expect it to be a blowout.

We have all the pieces, and this is an excellent opportunity for our ladies to get back in the hunt and prove why they were picked to win the Big 12.

Predicitions:

1. Sims scores 30+
2. Robertson will flop AT LEAST once
3. Agbuke will be in foul trouble
4. Vegas will be clutch
5. SOONERS WIN

I suspect Aaryn will guard Sims. We need to keep her in the low 20s because if she scores 35-40, I don't think we can win. When the ball goes inside, Griffin needs to turn and shoot a jump shot without putting the ball on the court. One dribble and she can expect 2 or 3 defenders closing on her. Sharane, Morgan, and Carter need to dribble drive often and draw fouls. I believe our best chance of winning is to get them in foul trouble.

Can I add a few predictions?

6. Sims will flop AT LEAST once.
7. Mulkey will get pissed.
8. Campbell will flop AT LEAST once.
9. A Baylor post will foul out.

Campbell does have a bad habit of flopping that I wish she would stop.

1. We must play at least as well as we did against OSU. If the bench doesn't come through, Vegas and Morgan will need to step up.
2. They must call the game more like they did at OSU than at Baylor. If Sims gets every call, you can't beat her. What is a foul on others must be a foul on Sims. The absurdity that went on against Texas cannot happen.

Optimism...optimism... I know! I'll sing optimistic songs!
The sun'll come out tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar that tomorrow there'll be sun
Just thinkin' about tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs and the sorrow till' there's none
