Bolden on Campus

So he told you he didn't want to post his information there for whatever reason and you took it upon yourself to post it there for him anyways?

I'll say this again for you perry...since you're having a hard time reading what ive posted and seem to keep trying to make it into me going against his will.

He said He didn't think they had a desire for the info and that it was "just a sideline" to them. NOT that he didn't want it posted or that he didn't want to post it there. More of he didn't see the attraction to it from the fans there. Like I've said multiple times this was never malicious and I would never have posted something if I thought it was against his will. Why would I sit there and quote it. Say he's from ouhoops and put his username on there if I thought it was against his will or of any wrong doing? I can't explain it any better to you then that bud. Hope you take the time to really read that and not try and pull a story out of something that obviously isn't there.

ding ding ding! Winner

ummm doesn't seem like that at all.

Bottom line, he posted info without any disclaimers on a free public message board on the internet.

If you don't want stuff shared: Don't post it or add a disclaimer.

It's not it was some uber sensitive information

jackson is an .

ouleopard is being hypersensitive.

Close thread.

What I'm reading is your justification for posting his information somewhere where he wasn't willing to post it for himself. Whatever his reasons were you've made it clear that he told you he wasn't willing to post his information elsewhere. Now if there was a conversation where you asked him if you could share and he said yes or that he didn't care then I'd be all on your side on this deal. I get why he's upset and hope that this doesn't keep him from sharing more information although I can't blame him if he chooses not to.

Guys, why don't we get back on topic with what should be an important discussion for all OU basketball fans right now?: "Bolden on Campus"

Thanks!

Anyone care to give a summary if you have VIP over there.

It doesn't sound to me like Jackson did anything wrong...

That being said, now he knows (along with the rest of us) that Leopard does not want his info posted anywhere else.

So let's just hope Leopard forgives and forgets, and continues to post.

That 247 article seems quite positive to me. Bolden said he had a good time, it was second visit to Norman, he really liked the players and coaches. The players all seem to get along and all like Coach Kruger a lot. He said the offense was appealing to him He said OU impressed him in that they seem to think they offer him something different from the other teams recruiting him. (Probably being the star player versus one of many star players but that was not said in the article).

He then mentions trips to Duke and KU. Said good things about both schools but came back to OU. Saying he has a strong interest in OU and just needs to think about what is best for him. He said he had no time table but relationship with the head coach and staff, other players and type of offense are really important to him. His other quotes suggest OU met those criteria.

He never mentioned proximity. My take, OU has a legitimate shot but I think we need to recognize this kid has offers from all the top programs, many of which have better basketball reputations than OU. Hopefully OU can land him.

Great news, thanks Denver.

Thanks Denver great stuff!

I would only add to Denver's summary that Bolden said a couple of times that he likes that OU plays "freely" on offense, which he further described as "without so much structure around them."

That made me chuckle, as I figure that's probably not so much how Coach Kruger would describe it (but what do I know? Maybe he would), but hey, if a free, unstructured offense is attractive to young Mr. Bolden, great.

Haha that actually is kinda funny. But like ya said if it gets him here then so be it.

Thanks for the recap, Denver! I'm encouraged by what Bolden had to say about OU. He may not choose us in the end, but there doesn't seem to be much doubt that he has a legitimate interest in the Sooners.

We could just ask Leopard... Oh wait.. We Cant! (Sorry to soon?)

No need to ask, he posted his take on Bolden on the first page of this thread:

We have a much better chance at Bolden than people think. In fact, I think we may be
the leader at this point. He loved his visit and his dad is coming around. He sees that
he can come to a top 10 program and push us over the top and not be just another cog
at Duke, Kansas or Duke. Plus he can play more than 15 or 20 minutes a game as he
would at Kentucky. Look for him to make another visit with his mother soon.

No need to ask, he posted his take on Bolden on the first page of this thread:

You know one thing I'm surprised about is the fact he didn't say much about the facilities. Which will be brand new when he steps on campus next year. Would have thought that would have made a big impact on a guy of his caliber.

If you want playing time at a top 20 top 15 school, then OU has a great shot. Just not going to happen at UK with Cal'state platoon system. I think Kansas is probably the biggest threat as they don't really rotate their bigs out as much.
